Rogel Aguilera-Mederos is only facing 10 years in prison – not 110.

On Thursday, Colorado Governor Jared Polis reduced his lengthy sentence.

Over 5 million people signed a petition asking for clemency.

“The length of your 110-year sentence is simply not commensurate with your actions,” Polis wrote.

“Nor with penalties handed down to others for similar crimes,” he continued.

Governor Polis said he understood the “urgency to remedy this unjust sentence.”

Even the judge claimed he didn’t want to give Rogel a 110-year sentence.

However, his hands were tied by Colorado’s strict minimum sentencing laws.

Kim Kardashian celebrated the news and thanked the Governor for his “empathy and leadership on this case.”
