'Golden Girls’ Fans Inconsolable Over Betty White’s Death

Actress Betty White has unfortunately passed away.
The “Golden Girls” actress was 99-years-old. She was preparing to celebrate her 100th birthday on January 17, 2022. She was preparing to celebrate her birthday with a special movie for her fans in theaters only on her birthday called “Betty White: 100 Years Young,” which contained clips of her lead role as Rose Nylund in “The Golden Girls,” which ran from 1985 to 1992.
Fans anxiously awaiting “Golden-Con,” which was a fan event held for Betty White from April 22-24, 2022 in Chicago, Illinois, were especially heartbroken by the news.

Many fans took to the “Golden-Con” Facebook group in order to express their shock at White’s sudden passing.
“I’m in shock!!!” one person wrote.
“I am SO SAD!!!!” wrote another. “I wanted her to make it to her 100th birthday!!!”
“I don’t want to believe it,” another commented. “I thought it was another hoax.”
“I had to check several sources and still can’t believe it,” another replied.

“2021 has become the worst year,” another said.
“I’m usually not broken up about celebrity deaths but this makes me so sad,” another commented. “I usually am not either,” said another. “Robin Williams really hit me. Betty I have watched since I was a young girl….she was truly the light.”
“So sad,” wrote another. “Was so hoping she’d make it to 100. What an amazing woman.”
“I’m so very sad,” said another fan. “Just a couple weeks before 100. What a way to end 2021.”
“I hope this is not true,” another wrote. “Please tell me this is not true.”

“I TOOK BETTY WHITE?!? NOW?!? I am a terrible, horrible, cruel, miserable God,” tweeted God’s unofficial Twitter account.
“It’s not laughing matter,” one fan commented. “Have some decency.” Another replied, “Betty would’ve wanted us to laugh. That’s all she ever wanted to do, was to make us laugh. It’s the only decent thing to do.”
“RIP Betty,” another commented. “17 days short of 100. On the bright side, we can hang this on 2021 and ease the pressure on 2022. High hopes.”

“I’m sick to my stomach this was the most awful year I’ve ever experienced and to end it with Betty white dying is just cruel,” another tweeted.
“I know I said 2021 was the worst year ever and now Betty White died I’m going into mourning,” wrote another fan.
