Lil Wayneis widely regarded as one of the best rappers of all-time. Many have felt that this has been the case since the early-mid 2000s, where he was in his prime as an artist and he lived by the title of being the best rapper alive. 

Wayne also feels strongly about his influence as he recently spoke with Brett Berish for Bumbu and feels that all rappers that are becoming famous today all have the same image that he does.

Wayne Says 'They All Look Like Me' In Regards To New Rappers

"Look into music and before I stepped into it, they had music and everyone looked a certain way, did a certain thing," Wayne explained. "Look at me. And now look at music. They all look like me."

After these comments, Wayne added how he appreciates that artists have similar looks to him. He even claimed that he loves it.

"I love it. If I didn't, I'd be on every song, saying, 'You look like me. You trying to be like me. You takin' my style.' No. I love it. Let's get it."

Wayne Has Released Multiple Projects In 2020

Wayne has released plenty of music in 2020 and it all started in late January. Then, he put out his 13th studio album, "Funeral.' This debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and was led by the hit single "I Do It" feat. Lil Baby and Big Sean. 

The deluxe edition in May also featured Tory Lanez, Doja Cat, and more. In November, the third installment of his "No Ceilings" mixtape series was released as DJ Khaled hosted it. The "B-side" edition was made available last week.

Wayne Expressed Disbelief In Lack Of Grammy Awards Invites

Wayne also discussed his stardom as an artist on Twitter on Sunday as he was frustrated that the GRAMMYs haven't been inviting him or getting him involved with the awards show in general lately. This is after winning five GRAMMYs in his career.

"As an artist, when I see da Grammys coming up & I’m not involved nor invited; I wonder. Is it me , my musik, or just another technicality? I look around w respect & wonder competitively am I not worthy?! Then I look around & see 5 Grammys looking bak at me & I go to the studio."

Wayne Also Faces 10 Years In Prison For 2019 Federal Gun Case

Wayne is also in a very serious legal issue as he is battling a gun case which dates back to December of 2019. He was caught with a loaded firearm in a private jet that he was on in Miami at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. The weapon found was a  gold-plated Remington 1911, .45-caliber handgun which contained six rounds of ammunition.

 He plead guilty two weeks ago in an attempt to avoid 10 years in prison if convicted. Wayne was found guilty in 2009 of a felony gun charge in New York and served eight months of a one-year sentence.
