Ariana Grande remains a testament to how modern day public image has continued to change over the years.
At 27-years-old the lovely brunet has established herself among the world’s most recognizable pop stars and actresses (and not just because her sex-appeal is through the roof right now) . Similar to fellow star Selena Gomez (who started as an actress herself), she began her career in stardom taking the acting role as Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon television series “Victorious.”
Although the star hasn’t actually taken any new acting roles as of late, her reputation as a diva and as a social media influencer has seen immense growth.
Masterpiece Diva
Where others have received fatal controversy that destroyed their careers, Ariana has risen above every story and criticism becoming an outstandingly positive force online. Her latest music as part of her album titled “Positions” has become a critically acclaimed masterpiece becoming her fifth number-one album in the US.
And to make the year even more auspicious for the pretty lady, she has now announced that she is engaged to be married to none other than long-time friend, Dalton Gomez! (Not to be confused with Selena Gomez as Dalton is unrelated to her)

Not What It Appears
As previously mentioned, Ariana’s reputation as a diva made her latest revelations about falling in love rather surprising to say the least. Her prior relationships have often ended in what many consider to be a heartbreaking split, though the “34+35” singer has generally claimed her breakups weren’t the negative experiences her fans assumed them to be.
Her previous social media activity didn’t really give a preface to this marvelous announcement since Dalton was generally seen as a good friend, not a lover. Yet the size of her ring clearly dispels those assumptions!
Bling Bling
It is now estimated that her ring is worth somewhere around $750,000 dollars and the pictures of her bling were accompanied by various photos of her and Dalton together.
Here are just a few of the comments that Ariana’s post has received since going live on Sunday:
“OMG CONGRATS ARI IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU” (Commentator) “AHHHH CONGRATS. CANT STOP SMILING STILLLLL ??? LOVE YALL SM!” (Commentator) “LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I LOVE U BOTH!!” (Commentator) “My heart is going to EXPLODE!!!!!!! I’m so happy for you guys! You deserve all the love in the world… n then some! ?✨” (Commentator)
Famous social media goers also too notice, leaving comments like these:
“Soooo happy for u guys!!! ✨? Love you!!!” (Kim Kardashian) “HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO HANDLE THIS??? ON A SUNDAY???” (MTV)
Opinions
Although she holds nothing against men (clearly, considering she is engaged to a man) Ariana believes that women and men are drastically treated differently in entertainment. She shared during an interview with Elle that being titled a ‘diva’ was actually a negative thing for her, and she didn’t quite understand how men weren’t given the same description when they defended themselves during interviews:
” I stopped doing interviews for a really long time because I felt like whenever I would get into a position where somebody would try to say something for clickbait or twist my words or blah, blah, blah, I would defend myself. And then, people would be like, ‘Oh, she’s a diva.’ I was like, ‘This doesn’t make any sense.’ Because I have an opinion about something that was an opinion artistically or if I am directing something, or if I have something to say regarding a choice that’s being made with my career or something, blah, blah, blah, it always was in the past manipulated and turned into this negative thing, whereas I don’t see that with men.”
