Teddi Mellencamp opened up about her recent exit from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” during an interview last week.
Months after confirming that she would not be a part of season 11, which began filming several weeks ago, the mother of three admitted that when it came to being absent from the drama of the ladies, she didn’t miss the cast tensions.
“I’m enjoying not being part of the drama,” Teddi admitted on the December 18 episode of “The Daily Pop,” via E! News.
Teddi Mellencamp Starred On ‘RHOBH’ For Three Seasons
Teddi announced that she was leaving “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” after three seasons on September 22.
“I recently found out my contract as a housewife is not being renewed,” Teddi said at the time. “Of course, I could give you the standard response of, ‘oh, we both came to the decision that it would be best…’ Nah. I’m not going to do that, that’s not who I am.”
Teddi joined the cast of the Bravo reality series ahead of its eighth season.

“Of course, when I got the news, I was sad,” she continued. “It feels like a break-up almost because you develop such strong relationships with the cast, with the crew and you get to do incredible things that you would probably never get to experience without the show.”
Following her exit from the cast, Teddi maintained friendships with a number of her former co-stars, including Kyle Richards, who is one of her best friends.
Continuing on about her Bravo departure on “The Daily Pop,” Teddi joked that “there’s probably a Taylor Swift song” to describe her feelings.
Teddi Mellencamp Is Busy With Her Family
“I’m just not sure which one yet,” she said.
Although Teddi was upset that she would not be continuing on with her journey on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” she is no longer grieving the show.
“I’m out of mourning. You know, we’ve had a lot going on in the fam, so we’ve been good,” she confirmed.
As fans may know, Teddi has her hands full with the three children she shares with husband Edwin Arroyave, including eight-year-old Slate, six-year-old Cruz, and nine-month-old Dove.
Teddi Mellencamp’s Daughter Underwent Surgery Over The Summer
Over the summer, before confirming her exit from the show, Teddi was dealt with a family challenge as her daughter was forced to undergo neurosurgery after being diagnosed with Lambdoid Craniosynostosis.
According to E! News, Teddi described her daughter’s condition as a “very rare type of non-syndromic craniosynostosis [which] occurs when one of the lambdoid sutures at the back of the head fuses before birth.”
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” season 11 is currently in production and expected to begin airing on Bravo at some point in 2021.
