Elizabeth Vargas is no fan of Braunwyn Windham-Burke.
During a recent interview with Hollywood Life, the newest member of the “Real Housewives of Orange County” cast said that when it came to the mother of seven’s comments against their co-star, Kelly Dodd, she was completely out of line.
“Kelly had her problems with COVID and compliancy, but I just thought it was very, as usual, hypocritical of Braunwyn,” Elizabeth told the outlet while appearing on an episode of TVTalk on Instagram Live.
Braunwyn Windham-Burke Has Made Hypocritical Comments About Her ‘RHOC’ Cast Mates And COVID-19
Elizabeth continued, “So it is what it is. Braunwyn has absolutely no right to talk because during COVID, she went all over the country. She went to Utah. She went all of these different places, so for her to say that about Kelly….”
In addition to traveling to Aspen with her family, Braunwyn also enjoyed a trip to Washington, D.C. with one of her friends, as well as a tropical getaway with husband Sean Burke.
However, during “The Real Housewives of Orange County” season 15, she shamed Kelly for traveling to New York City to be with Rick Leventhal.
“I just can’t understand that risk for a booty call,” Braunwyn said.
Braunwyn Windham-Burke Isn’t Talking To The ‘RHOC’ Cast
According to Elizabeth, she attempted to get to know Braunwyn during filming on “RHOC” but after production wrapped, Braunwyn distanced herself from the cast.
“I tried to get to know her on a number of occasions and I continue to repeat this, that, I reach out to her all of the time,” Elizabeth admitted. “I even just gave her a happy birthday text the other day. Even though she’s not talking to any of us, she’s going through a lot with her sobriety and transitions in her own life which are great.”
Elizabeth Vargas Supported Braunwyn Windham-Burke When She Came Out As A Lesbian
Despite their differences, Elizabeth said she was proud to see Braunwyn own her sexuality as she came out as a lesbian earlier this month.
“Whether people believe her or not or whether she’s full of sh*t or not, she’s still doing something for her which is admirable. Whether people agree with it or not, I can’t get my head around it,” Elizabeth explained. “Seven kids, a husband, a lesbian and then I don’t know what’s going on with her, I just want to support the cause in general, so I guess right now, she chooses not to support the women on the show.”

As she and her cast mates prepare for the upcoming taping of the season 15 reunion, Elizabeth confirmed to Hollywood Life that she’s looking forward to seeing Braunwyn.
“Oh yes, absolutely,” Elizabeth said. “I’m just going to ask her how her therapist is doing and how much longer she has until we can be friends!”
