Kyle Richards and her older half-sister, Kathy Hilton, contracted COVID-19 at the end of last month amid production on the upcoming 11th season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” but luckily, they have both since recovered.
Weeks after it was confirmed that filming on the new episodes was halted, Kyle took to her Instagram page to confirm that both she and Kathy are “feeling good” after their battle with the deadly virus, which seemed to begin at the end of last month.
Kyle Richards Is Looking Forward To 2021
“So happy that my sister [Kathy Hilton and] I are feeling good after fighting [COVID-19]. 2021 can’t come soon enough,” Kyle wrote, according to a report from Yahoo! Entertainment on December 15.
Along with Kyle’s post, she included a photo of Kathy giving her a kiss on the cheek as she looked at the camera with a kissy-face of her own.
Kathy also spoke out about their healthy battle on Instagram, proclaiming their love for her “baby sister” and saying she was “happy to report” that they were ” feeling good after recovering from COVID.”
Kyle Richards’ Daughter Also Contracted COVID-19
After it was revealed that production on “RHOBH” season 11 had been halted, Kyle confirmed that both she and her 20-year-old daughter, Sophia Umansky, had contracted COVID-19.
She then shared a family photo of herself and her children.
“I love these people so much,” Kyle wrote alongside the family pic. “Some of you may have heard I have COVID. I got it after these photos were taken. Since I was diagnosed I have been separated from my family in order to keep them healthy.”
The ‘RHOBH’ Cast Began Filming Season 11 In October
“Unfortunately, Sophia also got it,” she continued. “We will stay in isolation until it’s safe to see the family and others again. I can’t wait to hug them.”
According to Yahoo! Entertainment, an insider previously told E! News that Dorit Kemsley also tested positive after she and the rest of the cast began filming season 11 in October with new cast member Crystal Kung-Minkoff.
Throughout filming, the cast was undergoing routine COVID-19 tests, which hopefully prevented the virus from spreading further amongst them.
Denise Richards Will Not Be Seen On ‘RHOBH’ Season 11
Following production on season 10 last year, Denise Richards was estranged from the majority of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast, including Kyle, and after filming the three-part reunion special, she confirmed she would not be returning to the show for season 11.
Denise appeared on the series for just two seasons after being added to the cast during season nine.
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” season 11 will air on Bravo sometime next year but a premiere date has not been set.
