Willow Smith proved once again that she is one of the most talented musicians in the world!
The “Female Energy” singer blew her fans away with her hardcore guitar shredding on Tuesday. Willow and her two-piece band expertly played a classic metal tune, “My Own Summer (Shove It)” by the Deftones. Smith’s version is unmistakenly recognizable but she always adds her own style when she jams. Her fans were super impressed and stoked that she is following in her mother’s metal footsteps!

Willow violently strummed her guitar in a gray jumpsuit. She simply captioned her post with a devil <?> emoji.
As we previously mentioned, her fans were blown away by her musical range and demanded a full metal album.
“yeah she shreds ?,” one impressed fan commented, while another said, “Please make a rock album pleassssse ???,” a hopeful fan asked.
Her millions of metalhead followers instantly recognized the song.
“Deftoness ???,” an excited follower noted. “Deftones yesssss girl!” another said.
Willow doing a metal album is not that far of a stretch, in fact, it runs in her family! Her mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, was the lead singer of the heavy metal band, “Wicked Wisdom.” The band’s most well-known song is “Bleed All Over Me” and is still worshiped today in the metal-loving parts of South America.
“So glad you are following in your mom’s footsteps,” one fan commented on her Deftones clip.
We won’t pretend to be guitar experts and we definitely are not music savants but we do know that the typical guitar only has 6 strings. Willow was super excited to receive a 7 string guitar for her 20th birthday on October 31 from her grandma.
“This is the first seven string I’ve ever owned ! Thank you @adriennebanfieldnorris for my birthday gift ! Whose ready for my
?,” Smith wrote on social media at the time.
It’s good to see her put her birthday present to good use!
