The ‘Wake Up In The Sky’ rapper decided to weigh in on the possibility that Lil’ Wayne will be sentenced to several years behind bars after pleading guilty to possessing a handgun in Florida. As you know, Kodak knows a thing or two about the federal prison sentence as he is current incarcerated for a similar offense.
Kodak’s message is clear…Lil’ Wayne is inspiring to others and the judge should give him a big break!
See His Message!
“Please Don’t Send Him To Prison. He Inspired Me To Make Music,” Kodak tweeted from behind bars.
As we reported, Kodak has had huge issues while in federal custody including accusing the guards of abuse and placing him in a facility where he has little access to his family. Luckily, Kodak has an amazing lawyer, Bradford Cohen, who has been fighting for his rights –but it has been an uphill battle.
Obviously, besides being an inspiration to other artists and Kodak doesn’t want to see Weezy go down the same path as he did in the system.
See Kodak’s Message To Wayne’s Family…
“I Truly Apologize For My Disturbance Have A Blessed Day (Reginae Carter),” Kodak tweeted.
As we reported, Lil’ Wayne is facing up to 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to gun charges. In this case, prosecutors claim after searching Weezy’s private jet they found a “gold-plated Remington 1911 .45 caliber handgun.” Plus, in the same bag, they accuse Wayne of carrying, “personal use amounts of cocaine, ecstasy, and oxycodone.”
During a hearing this week, Wayne appeared remotely and struck a plea deal where he agreed to plead guilty. It appears Wayne may get a lighter sentence for taking responsibility for the situation, but KB is hoping it will include NO prison time.
Interestingly, Lil’ Wayne caught a bunch of heat during the Presidential election for meeting and posing for a picture with Donald Trump. But, now it appears that if Wayne is formally sentenced in January, he is eligible for a pardon from the White House. In other words, maybe the two talked about this case during the meeting, and Trump may step in to help out!
Just don’t forget Joe Exotic!!
Fans agree with Kodak Black and are hoping the judge — or Trump — will help Lil’ Wayne stay out of prison. “It crazy to believe that you’re gonna get out before him,” one person said. Adding “Hopefully, Trump comes through for him.”
Oh ya, and a few fans reminded…#freekodak!
