Miley Cyrus has admitted that Friday night hits “different” during COVID, but the bikini shenanigans don’t seem to have suffered. The 28-year-old superstar singer crammed her Friday night Instagram stories with two very different kinds of content as she geared up for the weekend, with poolside swimwear action leading into the pandemic’s biggest trend – self-care. Miley, followed by 117 million on Instagram, seemed to be itching for the pandemic to be over. She also appeared itching to get that bikini off. Check it out below.
Scroll for last night’s action. The above photo, dating back to 2019, should act as a reminder of how the “Midnight Sky” singer rocked her swimwear before the world turned upside-down. Miley kicked her stories off with a photo taken in the dark, not confirming when the snap was actually shot. The former “Hannah Montana” star was by a lit pool, in a string bikini, and sticking out her tongue, semi-rolling her eyes, and giving her bikini top a massive tug outwards – it stayed safe, though.
Miley, flaunting that killer body, wrote: “Friday hits different in this Covid era.” The singer, currently in the news as seventh studio album “Plastic Hearts” hits #1 on the rock charts, then posted a decidedly more-cozy, albeit less-clothed, snap of herself enjoying a warm bath and with a clay face mask applied.
A little cheeky, a little playful, and very Miley was the finish as the blonde covered her chest with one hand, peeked her tongue, and wrote: “Covid -ss Friday. I wanna go the f-ck out. We’re sooooo close.”
Miley’s “soooo close” may well have referred to the news that the FDA has approved the Pfizer-developed coronavirus vaccine for emergency use in the U.S. Miley proved one of the pandemic’s most high-profile and early faces to get involved in urging fans to alter their behaviour amid COVID. Back when everyone was mass-hoarding food, the “Wrecking Ball” singer pleaded with her followers not to buy all the “soup.”
Headlines for Miley are now all about the music, though, with the release of “Plastic Hearts.” More below.
Miley released her album on November 27, having already created buzz with the release of “Prisoner” with 25-year-old singer Dua Lipa. The punk rock era seems alive and well for Cyrus, whose “Midnight Sky” track had already brought glitter disco-ball vibes and a big ’80s look. Since then, Cyrus has been paying tribute to godmother Dolly Parton, recently presenting the country icon with her Hitmaker Award at the Billboard Women In Music.
“I’ve never met anyone that doesn’t like Dolly Parton. And it’s safe to say if they don’t like her, it’s only because they love her,” Miley gushed.
