Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin is back to flaunting that insane body – this time, with a little Christmas sparkle for the holiday season. The 31-year-old five-time Olympic medalist, fresh from looking back at her 2008 all-around champion win, updated her Instagram stories ahead of the weekend with a little spandex action. Nastia, followed by 1 million, stuck to black for a sober look, but with plenty of sparkly filters and Xmas decor, the Russian-born beauty wasn’t out of place at all. Check it out below.

Nastia’s stories today came from her Dallas, TX base. The gymnast, born in Russia and raised by two Olympic gymnast parents, left Russia as a child, living in both Louisiana and Texas. Nastia’s snap today showed her in her hallway and near gilt mirrors, plus some Xmassy-looking boxes as she swung a hip and showed off the Olympian body.
Nastia, wearing black leggings, a casual matching sweater, plus tan-and-black sneakers as she took her selfie, threw in the festive spirit via her sparkly filters and hints of green mirror decor. Nastia has been big-time eyeing up Christmas, although she did admit she isn’t prepped as she’d wish to be.
“Overheard someone at the nail salon say she already finished (AND wrapped) all of her Christmas shopping… and I’m over here like…. am I the only one that hasn’t even started? ?” she wrote on November 29.
Nastia, who is currently gearing up for a friendly fitness fight-off with fellow gymnast Alicia Sacramone Quinn, hasn’t lost her skill-set, despite retiring aged just 22 in 2012. The star wowed fans recently by crossing a gym floor and walking entirely on her hands, with recent IG activity seeing Liukin look back on her illustrious career.
“Gymnastics will forever be my number one passion, and I continue to carry the love I have for the sport into many aspects of my life,” she wrote while announcing a collab. More below.
Nastia, who recently stretched it out to help the environment and definitely hasn’t lost her touch, has, however, admitted that quitting the beam so young was a shock to the system. In 2016, Nastia spoke with The Cut, revealing she felt like a fish out of water.
“I felt so lost for a good year. I gained probably 10 to 20 pounds, because when you stop doing something and just go cold turkey your body doesn’t even know what to do.”
