Jesse James has been sitting idle while waiting for his "Monster Garage" return to officially get an airdate following a 14-year hiatus, and after months of waiting has officially been given the green light! The veteran automotive fabricator turned firearm manufacturer will be back on the air this coming January with a top spot on Discovery's highly-anticipated streaming service.

The network has exclusively revealed to The Blast that "Monster Garage" will be making its return to the air on January 4, 2021 and only available on discovery+.

Jesse James has been through many changes over the past 14 years. Along with closing down his famed West Coast Choppers shop in California for a move out to Texas, the controversial TV personality has also started a firearm business, Jesse James Firearms Unlimited. However, he's never lost his passion for loud and powerful motors, and has some surprises cooking for his return to "Monster Garage."

According to a description from Discovery about the revamped show:

"Each episode will feature five builders from diverse backgrounds who are given five days to transform an ordinary street vehicle into a one-of-a-kind monster machine. If they’re successful, they leave the garage with $5,000 worth of tools, and Jesse can take the vehicle out for a high-octane monster challenge. But if they fail, James gets to blow it up."

It was announced earlier this year that "Monster Garage" would be returning, but James revealed that production was halted as the COVID-19 pandemic hit and the show was left up in the air about when it would be able to continue. Luckily, production crews have been working extra hard to complete filming while creating a safe environment, and James is extremely grateful to Discovery for the opportunity.

"I’m very thankful for Discovery CEO David Zaslav for keeping the Monster Garage candle lit for the last 10 years," James said in a statement.

He added, "We always knew we would eventually bring it back. I also knew when that day came, I needed to be ready. More skills in my toolbox and a clear mind and schedule. Ready to put my head down and work as hard as possible to push the limits of TV again."

"Monster Garage" premieres January 4, 2021 exclusively on discovery+.
