Tayshia Adams’ ex-husband is finally telling all about their failed marriage that became a cornerstone of her starring role on “The Bachelorette,” and he wants his ex to own up to her wrongdoings instead of just bashing him.
Josh Bourelle, the previously unnamed man who was married to Adams in the past, spoke out in an interview of the “Reality Steve” podcast, in which he attempted to clear the air regarding the claims Adams made about their time together in regard to cheating and their eventual divorce.
Adams Doesn’t Like Cheaters
During the most recent episode of “The Bachelorette,” Adams confronted one of the final remaining suitors, Zac Clark, about the fact that he admitted to cheating on a partner in the past as part of a lie detector test. The bachelorette told him, “Essentially, that was like the main reason why my marriage ended, I will not date a cheater.”
Now, Bourelle is sharing some context on his side of their relationship, explaining why Adams is so adamant on speaking about cheating as a whole.
On His Cheating
“I was not happy with our relationship,” the reality star’s ex explained to the podcast host. “I wasn’t in a place where I was actually happy and what I look for in a relationship is a partner and I didn’t feel like I had a partner. I also look for somebody that I want to raise kids with and honestly, I came to the conclusion that I didn’t want to raise kids with her.”
Bourelle maintained that intimacy was “seriously lacking” in their relationship and that the instance of cheating she continued to reference throughout the season was a “single occurrence” that he almost immediately told her about afterwards.
Anger At Adams
Thinking for a while that their divorce ended rather cordially, Bourelle claimed he was shocked when he found out how negatively Adams was painting him during her time on the show, “I figured we had a mutual respect that we wanted the best for each other after the divorce,” he went on to tell Reality Steve.
“Now, her going out and saying that I cheated on her and that was the reason for our divorce on national TV, I felt like kind of crossed the line on that a little bit because I feel like she was using that as her sob story to make her look better and it was hurtful to me because it wasn’t just me that heard about that,” he added.
Slamming Her Sharing Personal Details
The star’s ex-husband added that he felt like her short time with these potential suitors did not even begin to justify the amount of deeply personal information she shared with them, detailing his emotions as, “happy until she kind of threw me in the gutter by saying what she did about me.”
“I think she could have went just as far as she’s at right now without saying that…What do you know these people for like two, three weeks—a month?”
He criticized of her openness, “You don’t really have to get into the most intimate personal things about your life in that short of period of time when you’re just trying to get to know somebody.”
