Larry King Agrees To Pay His Estranged Wife Shawn $33,000 A Month In Support

By Liz Walters

Larry King has agreed to pay his estranged wife Shawn King $33,000 a month in spousal support along with a $20,000 payment.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, in addition, to the monthly spousal support and the one-time payment, Shawn may submit credit card bills of her assistant, but that will be deducted from her $33K monthly allotment.

Shawn has claimed the $33K only covers a third of her monthly expenses, and she will have to go back to court to ask for an increased amount of support.

Both Shawn and Larry share a storage containing community property and they have agreed to split that cost each month.

Shawn also claims that the talk show legend rakes in over $20 million a year for all of his projects, but has admitted that she has more than $7 million in savings and assets.

We broke the story, Larry King filed for divorce from his 7th wife of 22 years. This was not the first time the ex-couple split up. Both Larry and Shawn filed for divorce back in 2010 and later reconciled.

Prior to Larry and Shawn’s second split, Larry was hospitalized last year after receiving a scheduled heart procedure, and contrary to published reports, King’s rep was clear “his doctors say he did not have a heart attack and he did not go into cardiac arrest."

In Larry King’s divorce petition, obtained by The Blast, Larry claimed irreconcilable differences as the cause for the split, and he did not state his position regarding spousal support. Shawn King filed legal documents requesting the need for spousal support and attorney’s fees, and ultimately she and Larry stipulated to an interim order on the matter.

The split between Larry and Shawn was a long time coming, and sources say his family couldn't be happier. Sources close to Larry tell The Blast that during the legendary talk show host's health scare, he came to a realization that Shawn "doesn't care" about him. We're told Larry felt his wife was more concerned about her financial needs and future.

The former couple has two adult sons, Chance, and Cannon. Larry shared a picture on his Instagram with him and his boys celebrating the Los Angeles Dodgers World Series victory, all proudly sporting Dodger hats and Larry showing a “thumbs up”.

Sources close to the King's tell The Blast, Larry's children and friends fully support the split and are glad he finally "woke up." Apparently, Larry and Shawn had been separated for some time before Larry decided to finally pull the trigger on ending his 8th marriage. Larry claims their official date of separation was in June of last year, but it seems Larry and Shawn's split will not be easily settled.

The divorce is still pending with other issues yet to be worked out.
