Miley Cyrus opened it wide as she tugged her fishnets to the limits in a new photo this week. The 28-year-old singer appeared in a photo yesterday ahead of her appearance on “The Howard Stern Show,” with the snap promoting both the former “Hannah Montana” star’s chat feature and her new “Plastic Hearts” album. Miley, whose seventh studio album has made major waves for its “Prisoner” collab with 25-year-old singer Dua Lipa, was looking stunning, and she’d definitely gone skimpy. Check it out below.
Scroll for the photo. It comes as Miley reinvents herself as a punk rocker on “Plastic Hearts,” with tracks on the EP including August-released and disco ball-vibed “Midnight Sky.”
The photo, a black-and-white one, showed Miley posing in low-slung jeans, a black push-up bra, and a frontless white crop top that didn’t even cover the racy lingerie. Despite Miley looking down with a wide open mouth and tugging at fishnet stockings above the jeans, the image was a classy one, with “The Howard Stern Show” announcing the singer’s name in big letters.
A caption from “The Howard Stern Show” welcomed its superstar guest, reading: “TODAY: @MileyCyrus returns to perform LIVE on the #SternShow and talk to #HowardStern about her new album #PlasticHearts. Tune in now on #Howard100! (Link in bio).”
Miley herself had alerted her 116 million Instagram followers to her appearance via her stories – promo for the album has already seen Miley speaking with Apple Music, where Backyard Sessions saw her deliver “Golden G-String” track in a jungle setting. More photos below.
While reviews are largely stellar for the album, Miley has faced backlash over retailers seemingly not stocking it, something that fans weren’t too happy about. Taking to Twitter, Miley told fans:
“My fans are everything to me & to know y’all are disappointed when going out to stores/calling/checking stock to be let down I am equally/if not more frustrated,” adding:
“When choosing 11/27 THE SUGGESTED DATE for album release my team and I were never told major retailers don’t stock physical albums on Black Friday and won’t get copies of PH until a few weeks after release.”
Miley’s album, which follows her 2019-dropped “SHE IS COMING” EP, was released on November 27. The post-divorce beats bring grunge rocker vibes, with the Dua Lipa collab video seeing a runaway setting as Miley and the Brit drive an RV around with Miley covering herself in fake blood and also getting close up and personal with Lipa.
Miley is also fresh from addressing both her sobriety and her 2019 divorce from actor Liam Hemsworth. The two split in October after eight months of marriage.
