Mackenzie McKee isn’t getting the thumbs-up right now. The 25-year-old “Teen Mom OG” star is getting slammed as her post-Thanksgiving weight loss promo raises eyebrows, with the former cheerleader and mom of three’s Boom Bod Instagram post now littered with critical feedback. Mackenzie, followed by 1 million, updated her Instagram shortly after Turkey Day, with a paid paternship post seeing the MTV face pouring out Boom Bod shots while in her kitchen and in a sports bra. Fans, seemingly unimpressed, have been airing their thoughts. Check it out below.
Scroll for the photo. Mackenzie, who runs her Body By Mac fitness plans as a side gig alongside starring on “Teen Mom OG,” posted seemingly showing off the benefits of the product she was endorsing. The blonde, shot in semi-profile and in a gray sports bra, black yoga pants, and with those cheese-grater abs on show, held a glass of water as she poured out a shot, with a caption sharing more.
Using a #ad, Mackenzie announced that Boom Bod is back “just in time.”
Mackenzie, who also fronts Justice Nutrition, continued: “Holidays are coming fast and my fav program is here to keep my holiday over-indulging down this year ?.”
“TBH I can be my own worst enemy sometimes? Want to head into the holidays on track too? Get on this program with me while they have this their Friday Penny Sale on boombod.com tonight ?,” she added.
Fans, largely supportive of McKee amid both the 2019 passing of mom Angie Douthit and the star’s 2020 marital troubles with husband Josh McKee, seemed underwhelmed.
Mackenzie’s fans made their thoughts clear. “??? how can someone who promotes healthy living promote this?!?!” one wrote.
“We all know this thing does not actually work and you’re extremely healthy already so there’s no reason you even need it!” another added.
While one follower called the product a “gimmick,” another suggested McKee was only mentioning Boom Bod for the paycheck – “People this will not help you lose weight!!??? all for the $$$,” they wrote. One fan even shaded Mackenzie by bringing in former “Teen Mom 2” star Jenelle Evans, also a promoter of weight-loss products.

The “Teen Mom” franchise is no stranger to seeing its cast promoting a weight-loss product. Over on “Teen Mom 2,” 29-year-old Chelsea Houska fronts weight-loss brand Profile Sanford, crediting the company’s tailored nutrition plans for successfully dropping 50 pounds post-partum.
Likewise a promoter in the diet industry, is “Teen Mom 2” face Leah Messer, with the mom of three receiving negative feedback as she promoted Flat Tummy App – the brand is also fronted by 36-year-old reality superstar Khloe Kardashian.
