Arnold Schwarzenegger & Maria Shriver FINALLY Settle Divorce After 10 Years!

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver are finally divorced after the former couple battled in the court system for over 10 years.

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, a judgment was filed in the ex-couple's divorce over ten and half years after they originally started the proceedings.  As we reported, the famous duo agreed to remove the case from the L.A. County Courts, and allow a private judge to mediate the case. But, after it was settled, the documents still needed to be filed with the court.

Today, we're told, the documents were signed off on by a judge and the former Governor is now a single man. We broke the story, the case has been close to settling for the past few months after records indicated both of them had turned over all financial information to each other and might have worked out a deal. As for why it took so long, several theories have been floated over the years, including both sides not really wanting to pull the trigger and end the marriage. Arnold and Maria got married in 1985, and they share four children.

Also, the couple's net worth is reportedly over 400 MILLION, and based on the fact that they had no prenuptial agreement -- the entire thing had to be split in half. It should be noted, they also owned tons of property, which isn't easily split up. The exact settlement is confidential, but apparently, the former couple split their fortune pretty close to right down the middle.

The marriage was torn apart after it was revealed Arnold had fathered a son with the couple's housekeeper, Mildred Baena. Schwarzenegger's son -- Joseph Baena -- is now a college student and looks just like his father.

At the time, Maria issued a statement, saying, "This is a painful and heartbreaking time. As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment."

Arnold added, "After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry."

The good news, Arnold and Maria have maintained a close friendship following the massive scandal and continue to co-parent their children, and now grandchildren together. In many cases, the ex-couple hosts family events together.

The 73-year-old 'Terminator' star is reportedly still dating his girlfriend and physical therapist, Heather Milligan. The couple was spotted over the holidays on a luxury shopping spree in Beverly Hills. At this point, it's unclear if Maria has a significant other, or is single and ready to mingle.
