Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin just crushed Thanksgiving 2020, period. The five-time Olympic medalist dropped jaws with her November 26 Instagram update, with photos of the 31-year-old coming from snowy Montana, where a cabin stay sees the Russian-born beauty surrounded by snow and enjoying precious time with dog Harley. Nastia’s 1 million followers today got their favorite gymnast glowing in natural sunlight, and she was literally a golden girl with a regal-colored gown flying the flag for style and flaunting some killer leg. Check it out below.
Scroll for the latest look. It comes as Nastia makes headlines for taking her push-ups outdoors and onto a snow-filled deck – and not just to show off. Nastia is raising mental health awareness amid the global pandemic, but her post today was all about Turkey season.
The snaps, showing Nastia backed by Montana’s tree-filled wilderness and with snow on the ground, featured the 2008 all-around Olympic champion goddess-like and with gratitude all-around as she posed in a cinch-waisted crepe-effect dress with a leggy slit.
Nastia, who geo-tagged herself in Big Sky Country, took to her caption with words that very much reflected the vibe in the images.
“Happy happy thanksgiving!” Nastia began, adding: “Even in a year that none of us expected, there is still so much to be thankful for. health, family and friends are always at the top of my list, and this year is no different. this includes you too, harley ? #revolveme @revolve.”
A little influencing never goes amiss on Nastia’s IG. More photos below.
Nastia is gearing up for a friendly fitness fight-off with 32-year-old gymnastics face Alicia Sacramone Quinn. Her snowy push-ups yesterday came with serious words as Nastia told fans:
“2020 has been an incredibly hard year for all of us…According to the World Health Organization, approximately 800,000 people die due to suicide every year.”
“This means: ONE PERSON DIES EVERY 40 SECONDS FROM SUICIDE. With more lockdowns likely in the US, this rate is increasing.”
Nastia is also sharing how exercise is helping her get through the global pandemic.
If you aren’t up-to-date, Nastia has been in the news and it’s been rocky. In October, the gymnast made headlines for a fan DM asking her how she feels about “promoting borderline anorexia looking bodies,” with Nastia, horrified, saying she was both “triggered” and “pissed” as she clapped back.
A new month, a new drama. November, meanwhile, brought a v-log on YouTube showing Liukin’s early morning coffee, with fans quickly assuming that caffeine is all the blonde swallows to kick off the day. Once again, Nastia fired back.
