Selma Blair Shares Health Update for Relaxing Beach Thanksgiving

"It is Thanksgiving. Beautiful and crisp and bright here now. California November. Ideal. It is 2020 and the loss and anxiety and bracing for the unknown," Selma Blair began her message on Instagram alongside a series of photos of her 9-year-old son, Arthur, playing along the beach with the family dog.

The actress explained she got away for a little beach vacation in Southern California, which was something her late mother also loved.

"I focus and pray and stay still today. I had these two days at the beach. What I dream of most. What my mother loved. And my son and I do also."

While Selma Blair has been seen in recent months running, swimming, jumping and playing, the actress describes a different health status at the moment, while she continues battling the symptoms of multiple sclerosis.

"The motion of waves challenges the vertigo I get. And running and playing are short lived for me at the moment. Still. But I watch. I take a few pictures. I give them to you and hope it is enough. I sit back and marvel at the power of the tides."

Through the good days and the bad, Selma Blair also finds happiness in being with her son. She showed the same gratitude on Thanksgiving while watching little Arthur play on the beach.

"Our joy. Our will. A boy. His dog. Running on a beach. And I am here. His mom. I know this is the luxury in life. Thank you. Thank you for being here with us."

The actress ended her message with a message of thanks to the frontline workers who risked their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic:

"Happy holidays 🌙⭐️. The most heartfelt thank you to health heroes everyone who has risen in this time to take care of all of us."
