Here, he remixed some of the biggest hits of 2009 such as "Swag Surfin' by F.L.Y., "Ice Cream Paint Job" by Dorrough, and "Wasted" by Gucci Mane and Plies. No Ceilings had 21 tracks in total as it peaked at No. 18 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Back in January, Wayne released his 13th studio album, "Funeral." This contained  24 tracks and was led by the hit single, "I Do It," featuring Lil Baby and Big Sean. Other appearances included Adam Levine, 2 Chainz, the late XXXTentacion, and more.

The deluxe edition was released in June and featured more stars such as Doja Cat and Tory Lanez. Wayne also paid homage to Kobe Bryant on the song "Bing James" feat. Jay Rock where the ending featured 24 seconds of silence.

On November 17, Wayne was charged by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida with one count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. This dates back to December 2019 where he was found with a gold-plated handgun on a private jet that he was on at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport.

Wayne faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted. Back in New York in 2009, he was convicted of a gun charge. Howard Srebnick, Wayne's attorney, claims that the rapper did not plan to use the gun in this situation.

"There is no allegation that he ever fired it, brandished it, used it or threatened to use it. There is no allegation that he is a dangerous person."

Lil Wayne Also Caught Backlash For Donald Trump Endorsement

Wayne endorsed Donald Trump last month and was a very unpopular move.

At the end of October, Wayne also surprisingly endorsed Donald Trump for president. He believed that Trump has oddly done well with criminal justice reform and the "platinum plan" for Black Americans would work.

"Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he's done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership," Wayne tweeted. "He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done."

In the end though, Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump in the election on November 3 fairly comfortably. Trump has since spread lies of alleged widespread voter fraud
