Losing The Weight
“I had to lose 100 pounds,” Tyson recalled of the most formidable element of training during their chat, adding, “But other than that I’ve always done this my whole career.”
Tyson is on a roll this month when it comes to a positive societal outlook on him as a person, having previously spoken out advocating for NBA star Dwayne Wade’s transgender daughter in the face of criticism from rapper Boosie Badazz, who publicly misgendered and slammed the Wade family on multiple occasions.
While appearing on the rapper’s podcast in October, Tyson criticized his take on Wade’s daughter.
“What happened to you that you think that you’re somebody that can comment on somebody’s life?” The boxer asked Boosie very straightforward.
To show his thanks, Wade shared some kind words about Tyson and his quickness to stand up for trans rights, calling him “so educated and knowledgeable about life. For him to be able to drop that nugget on the world, to me, it was great to hear him say that.”
