Prince Harry and Meghan Markle paid tribute to the late Desmond Tutu.

They met with Tutu during their trip to South Africa in September 2019.

They brought along their then-5-month-old son, Archie.

The outing marked Archie’s first official public engagement.

The couple shared plenty of sweet snaps of Archie’s meeting with Tutu to Instagram.

On Instagram, they thanked Tutu for his “incredibly warm hospitality.”

“Archied loved meeting you!” they added.

In a joint statement, they said they would remember Tutu for his “optimism, his moral clarity, and his joyful spirit.”

“He remained a friend and will be sorely missed by all,” they added.
