Gymnast Nastia Liukin Flaunts Massive Thigh Gap In Microscopic Spandex

By Rebecca Cukier

Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin isn't spending Sunday morning with Pringles and Netflix. The five-time Olympic medalist, 31, was up and ready for her 8 a.m. workout today, even making sure her 1 million Instagram followers saw her flawless sweat session outfit. Nastia, who is gearing up for a friendly fitness fight-off with fellow gymnast Alicia Sacramone Quinn, uploaded a quick morning selfie to start the day, flaunting her rock-hard abs, massive thigh gap, and usual, flawless sense of style. Olympian Bodies Don't Maintain Themselves

Scroll for the photo. Nastia, who retired aged just 22 back in 2012, has been busy proving that she 100% hasn't forgotten her skill-set – walking on her hands this month had jaws dropping, with a more recent video showing the Russian-born star climbing a rope and back-flipping in bubblegum-pink spandex.

Nastia's photo today came from the all-white bedroom of her Dallas, TX home. The beauty blogger was swinging a hip while in selfie mode and rocking skin-tight caramel-colored leggings and a tiny matching sports bra –she's yet to fail on the style front.

Nastia, hiding her face but not her body, joked that she's been "convinced to do an 8 a.m. Sunday workout" – with a recent YouTube video showing 6.30 a.m. starts before training, though, the early kick-off is nothing new.

Nastia, whose 2008 all-around Olympic champion status is one she'll hold for life, has admitted that retiring so early was a shock. "I remember walking into a regular gym, not a gymnastics gym, and looking at the equipment and thinking, “What are these things?” she told The Cut in 2016.

Mean Body, Kind Heart

Nastia might come with cheese-grater abs and an overall muscle machine frame, but the blonde has been showing a kind heart of late. Her fight-off will be in support of mental health awareness, with Nastia herself recently reminding fans that suicide rates have spiked amid the global pandemic.

"The Big Fight to raise funds and awareness for a cause close to both of our hearts—mental health awareness," she wrote on November 12 while announcing the competition. Keep scrolling for more photos.

Not Just A Gymnast

Nastia may have the beam as her identity, but the star has way more going on. She's running her The Muse Collective empowerment start-up, with beauty blogging turning lucrative for her via the $55 Celery Green Cream she retails as part of her Volition collab.

Nastia is also getting snapped up by brands for her influencer potential. She "brought bubble baths back" for 2020 via an extended-leg tub snap for Olay this year, with more recent posts seeing her influence for clothing brand Revolve.
