Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin dropped jaws today, posting from a Hawaii beach and in a barely-there bikini. The five-time Olympic medalist, 31, was big-time shouting out the days when everyone could travel – currently in her Dallas, TX base, the 2008 all-around Olympic champion is missing pre-COVID times just like the rest of us. Nastia’s Sunday post asked her 1 million Instagram followers where they’d travel to right now, and it brought some major bikini action. Check it out below.
Scroll for the photo. Nastia, who had shown off her super-slender frame and is, herself, fresh from a major anorexia clap-back, was proving the haters can hate.
The photo, showing the Moscow-born star bronzing her flawless figure on Maui beach sands, also came with some snazzy swimwear as Nastia wore a triangle black bikini top matching bottoms with elegant gold chain details. Nastia is a major hat lover, with a black one shading her face. She sported sunglasses, also sitting back with one leg folded and slightly raised.
Keep scrolling for more photos. Nastia had just yesterday posed in selfie mode from her closet and suggesting possible travel with giant Louis Vuitton suitcases seen – with stories showing her home and with dog Harley, though, it’s a near-certainty that the image was a throwback.
“If you could be anywhere in the world rn, where would you be?” Nastia captioned the shot.
Quick to leave a like was 23-year-old gymnast Simone Biles, but the fans joined right in – “Not America, that’s for sure,” one replied.
Nastia, who can be an open book when it comes to her beauty products, pantry stash, and fitness, does come with a private side, something that was made clear just a few days ago as she kicked off her YouTube channel. Fans were promised the “real” Nastia, but she confirmed she wouldn’t be spilling all the “tea.”
Three days ago, posing in selfie mode and from her bedroom, Liukin asked fans what kind of content they’d want – “Drop you video suggestions below!” she wrote.
October saw Nastia in the news for a major clap-back after a fan DM asked her how she feels about “promoting borderline anorexia looking bodies.”
Admitting she was both “triggered” and “pissed” by the remark, Nastia fired back by posting a skin-tight dress selfie and writing:
“If taking pictures of my OWN body — a body that won me many Olympic medals, a body that I push each day to get stronger, a body that God gave me — is inherently promoting anorexia, then honestly, we’ve gotten to a place in the world where just BEING is offensive.”
