'90 Day Fiancé' Stars Paul & Karine Speak After TLC Decided To Cut Couple

By Ryan Naumann

"90 Day Fiancé" star Paul Staehle and Karine Martins are speaking out about producers deciding not to bring them back for another season following accusations of abuse.

Over the weekend, Paul decided to address the ongoing situation involving him and his wife Karine. The two have been working on their marriage and trying to avoid getting divorced. A couple of months ago, Karine took out a restraining order where she claimed Paul sexually abused her and tried to control every aspect of her life.

Paul originally said he was fired by TLC after the court issues. However, he is now backtracking and says he just wasn't asked by for another season NOT fired.

He wrote, "We were not fired or reprimanded. We were given time to deal with our family matters privately. Our payments and income was not affected."

Paul claims the network and producers have been trying to help his family out during this hard time, even though he was accused of alleged rape against his wife. He claims someone lied when writing out the restraining order for Karine.

Paul continued "TLC and Sharp have both been very considerate to our situation. We highly appreciate them giving us time to deal with our private matters off camera. We are hopeful and eager to possibly return in the future in a more positive time in our growing family's lives."

He then admitted he is no longer under contract and has not been asked back for another round. Paul said, "Our contract was fulfilled and completed. We will be posting some positive highlights on our social media and YouTube."

He gave a little update on the status of Karine and her pregnancy. He said, "Karine is refraining from social media because of the extreme negatively. Financially we are fine as I am still successfully independently paying everything."

Paul claims, "We will start scheduling press interviews soon. However, internet in Tonantins is not strong enough for video conference they can only be done in Manaus."

After the domestic dispute, Karine fled back to her home county of Brazil. Paul rushed to her and has stayed ever since.

Earlier this year, during an incident at their home, Karine accused Paul of refusing to let her leave their home. She called the police to help her leave the property. At the scene, Paul claimed Karine had an open case with Child Protective Services. She said Paul was abusive to her, which he denied in court documents.

They both filed for protective orders which included nasty claims against the other. Karine's petition had the worst accusations of abuse. Back in September, the reality stars dropped their dueling emergency protective orders.
