We broke the story, Hough claims the couple had an iron-clad prenup which specifically says she does not have to pay spousal support to her now estranged husband.

But, this makes sense...considering she was rich and famous BEFORE tying the knot and many celebrity marriages have a prenup. It's unclear if the split is amicable, but it seems the couple was close to reconciling just weeks before she ultimately decided to pull the trigger.

As we reported, Julianne opened up about her split from Ryan Seacrest this week, saying, "It was 2013 and I had just gotten out of a relationship that was very high profile. I was on private planes and yachts and living in a very, very well-off house and my life was pretty different from where I grew up."
