Amber Heard may be in serious trouble for reprising her role in the next "Aquaman" movie, that is if the studio is paying attention to the over 1 million people that are protesting her return after Johnny Depp was just axed from his role in the upcoming "Fantastic Beasts" flick. The Change.org petition to "Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2" crossed the threshold of 1 million signatures on Thursday morning, making it one of the biggest public campaigns ever to publicly remove an actor from a film project.

The petition against Heard, who portrayed Jason Momoa's ally, Mera, in the first DC superhero movie, was originally launched in response to Johnny Depp being removed from his post as Captain Jack Sparrow for Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise. However, after Depp revealed he was asked to exit his popular role of Gellert Grindelwald in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter-world spinoff, the war against heard had new life breathed into it.

"Johnny depp doesnt deserve what’s happening it isnt fair" one supportive fan wrote after signing the petition against Heard.

1 Million Strong

Perhaps more interesting than 1 million people signing the petition against Heard, is that all the supporters are not fans of Johnny Depp. While Depp does carry a tremendous amount of support from his loyal fanbase, many of those against Heard have expressed outrage on behalf of victims of domestic abuse, as they feel the "Aquaman" actress has not been truthful about her encounters with Depp during their tumultuous marriage.

"As Amber Heard is a known and proven domestic abuser, Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment should and must remove Heard from their Aquaman 2 film project. They must not ignore the suffering of Heard's victims, and must not glamorize a domestic abuser," a statement in the Change.org petition reads.

Not Necessarily Fans of Depp

The petition adds, "Men are victims of domestic abuse, just like women. This must be recognized, and action must be taken to prevent a known abuser from being celebrated within the entertainment industry."

Others feel strongly that Amber Heard used the #MeToo to her advantage in the war with Johnny Depp, which they feel weakened the movement and opened the door for others to be taken advantage of.

"Amber Heard is an abuser. She abused her ex wife and ex husband Johnny Depp. She needs to be cancelled. Majority of DV victims and people who are disgusted by her won't even watch the first movie. Why would we see the second?" a supporter adamantly wrote.

Push for Depp's Return

In the wake of over 1 million people wanting Amber Heard out of "Aquaman," Johnny Depp is seeing rising support in those who want him back in the good graces of Warner Bros. for the upcoming "Fantastic Beasts" movie.

"Firstly I'd like to thank everybody who has gifted me with their support and loyalty. I have been humbled and moved by your many messages of love and concern, particularly over the last few days," Depp recently announced in a statement.

He added, "Secondly, I wish to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros. from my role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected that and agreed to that request."

The petition to bring him back has almost reached 200,000 signatures.
