Britney Spears is speaking out on social media amid the nasty court battle with her father Jamie.
The singer posted an old school photo of little girls jump roping on the street. A bunch of them are jumping at the same time while their friends hold the rope. Britney captioned the post, “Keep JUMPING towards your dreams ⭐️?✨!!!”
Her fan commented, “KEEP JUMPING BABY! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. WE’RE HERE FOR YOU AND WE’LL GET THROUGH THIS!.” Another said, “Everything is gonna be ok, baby ❤️❤️❤️.”
The support comes as Britney has been fighting her dad in court over control of her conservatorship. The parties were in court this week where Britney made explosive allegations. During the hearing, Brit’s attorney told the judge his client was afraid of her father and was refusing to perform until he was axed as a co-conservator.
Britney pleaded for the judge to replace her father and have someone else make important decisions about her life. She even accused him of making bad decisions in the estate.
Jamie has been fighting his daughter every step of the way. He argues Britney might not have the mental capacity to make her own decisions. Jamie says he was brought onto the conservatorship when Britney needed help.
At the time, Jamie says Britney was drowning in debt and was facing multiple lawsuits. He claims to have successfully brought her out of that hole. He claims the estate is now worth an estimated $60 million.
Jamie says he has done everything right in the case.
A big point of contention between Britney and her father Jamie is $300,000 he spent on her former business manager. She believes the amount was excessive and wants the money returned to her account.
Britney says her dad even hired her a new business manager without consulting her. She says Jamie never asked her opinion or give her other options for business managers.
A judge decided not to remove Jamie but didn’t rule out it in the future. Britney has yet to comment on the hearing.
During the court hearing, Lynne Spears expressed her opinion on the matter. She told the court she believed Jamie should be removed from the conservatorship.
For the past 12-years, Lynne has not been involved in the case and let her ex-husband handle it. Jamie and Lynne Spears divorced in 2002 after 30 years together.
Lynne told the court she felt Britney’s relationship with Jamie was “toxic.” She said her daughter should not be forced to obey Jamie’s unreasonable demands. Her lawyer said, “It has broken Lynne’s heart that things have come to this point.” Lynne’s rep told the court his client had no ill will towards Jamie. She said it’s time “to start fresh” and remove him as a conservator.
