Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin couldn’t resist showing it off today – and this girl has plenty to flaunt. The five-time Olympic medalist, fresh from celebration her 31st birthday, was back in workout mode on Wednesday morning, seen snapping herself inside her Dallas, TX home and for her 1 million Instagram followers. Nastia, who made October headlines for a massive anorexia clap-back, is refusing to apologize for a body she’s admitted has always been “thin.” But there’s major muscle on that frame. Nastia, whose 2008 all-around Olympic champion status is one for life, retired from professional gymnastics aged just 22 back in 2012, but the Moscow-born star hasn’t slumped into the couch. Despite admitting to gaining 10-20 pounds after retiring and feeling “lost” at regular gyms, Nastia has found her way, now acting as an influencer for the Bright Fitness App – she’s also a big-time beauty blogger on the side.
The selfie today, not yet seeing Nastia in the gym, definitely showed her dressed for a workout.
Nastia, seen with dog Harley and showing off her super-stylish home, had gone for all-black with a skimpy finish. The blonde, flaunting her long legs in a tiny pair of shorts, matched the lowers with a cozy cropped sweatshirt, with one hand used to hold a smartphone and another cheekily raising the hoodie for a major ab flash
Nastia, who has been feeding her cheese-grater abs everything from sprinkle birthday donuts and her Shake Shack birthday burger to a “Friendsgiving” roast chicken recently, showed that some people are, indeed, blessed from above.
Nastia made a big hoopla over her “year 31,” and the gymnast even called her “year 30” not all bad. She rung in a new year with a gorgeous smile and massive tray of donuts, with the food theme continuing via a pantry tour that showed fans this star’s home is always stocked with Oreo cookies.
Nastia’s workouts have, however, been full-on since her birthday, with the former athlete even boxing recently as she showed off an uppercut she called “pretty damn good.”
In 2016, Nastia opened up to The Cut about her morning routine. “I like to eat something very small beforehand, whether it’s a banana or a piece of fruit, and I have coffee,” she said, adding:
“It was the same when I was in gymnastics. After my workout I’ll have a bigger breakfast, like an omelet with tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, and maybe some chicken or something.”
Nastia also admitted she was raised to “have a cookie” if she wants one by her mom, something the fan skinny-shaming her may want to check up on.
