Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin might be one step ahead of you. The 31-year-old five-time Olympic medalist already has her Christmas tree up, although Nastia’s 1 million Instagram followers only got a tease mention of it today – the Moscow-born beauty admitted she was sitting “on my couch in sweat.” The photo of Nastia in her stunning birthday dress didn’t disappoint, though. Nastia celebrated turning one year older with a giant bash after her October 30th birthday. She’s still dreaming. Check it out below.
Scroll for the photo. It comes after Nastia made headlines both for clapping back at an anorexia comment and celebrating the big THREE-ONE with a giant tray of sprinkles donuts, a Shake Shack trip, and a huge party in her Dallas, TX home.
On Friday, Nastia updated with a selfie showing her glittery, white, and braless birthday dress. Fans saw Liukin swinging a hip and looking confident, with the flawless bedroom decor also showcased as the 2008 all-around Olympic champion snapped herself amid floral bouquets.

Then came the reality as the blonde admitted: “Currently: sitting on my couch in sweatpants (admiring my christmas tree I put up last night) studying and prepping for our first live gymnastics event in 9 months that’s happening this weekend (!!!!)”
Nastia, proving she’s a glass half-full girl as she called her “year 30” not all “bad” despite the pandemic, is going full-throttle with living her best life.
Nastia did not appreciate an October fan DM asking her how she feels about “promoting borderline anorexia looking bodies.” The star, admitting she’s always been “thin” as she delivered a fire clap-back, spoke of being both “triggered” and “pissed” at the comment, adding:
“If taking pictures of my OWN body—a body that won me many olympics medals, a body that I push each day to get stronger, a body that God gave me—is inherently promoting anorexia, then honestly, we’ve gotten to a place in the world where just BEING is offensive. This is ME.”
Nastia was barely done showcasing her birthday donuts and fun, candle-lit Shake Shack burger before she re-appeared with more food. The Russian posted stories showing her “Friendsgiving” dinner, with the footage showing her eyeing up a whole roast chicken, plus trays of potatoes, cornbread, and vegetables.
Nastia did admit to gaining 10-20 pounds after retiring from professional gymnastics in 2012. The star’s fans, however, are seeing nothing but that massive thigh gap, cheese-grater abs, and a girl who works out on the regular.
