"90 Day Fiancé" star Ashley Smith has filed for divorce from Jay Smith after accusations he cheated on her with a stripper.
Ashley shared the news with her fans with an Instagram story. The reality star posted a video of her hanging out in a restaurant with a girlfriend. The two had a couple of drinks during the afternoon.
They seemed to be having a good time and Ashley didn't hide the fact that she was on her fourth drink.
In a clip, Ashley walks from her table to the bar for her "fifth martini." The caption she included on the post gave away the divorce news. She wrote, "Me on my way for my forth martini after filing to be a single woman...."
The divorce has yet to hit the official court system but it appears Ashley is moving on from Jay. The decision to file the paperwork comes days after Ashley blasted Jay on social media over his alleged cheating.
Ashley posted a TikTok video where she talked about the stripper. She started by telling fans, "I lied to the world because I'm so shamed and embarrassed I let this happen AGAIN..."
She teared up while shaking her head on camera. She added, "I gave it my everything. i loved him so much."
Ashley wrote, "I took my savings to start my own business and gave it to him so he could live out his dream." Jay recently opened his own Tattoo shop in the town where they live.
"And what did he do...he was messaging the stripper he originally cheated on me again," she claimed. She said, "A few days later he cheated and I told him to get out. He had her bring him to my house to get his belongings."
Ashley said, "I lost 30k trying to help someone I thought was finally ready to be a real man. It's all my dumb fault. I'm sorry I lied to all of you. In that moment I was so weak, I couldn't take public opinions and deal with the trolls."
In the past, Ashley has filed for divorce numerous times but dismissed each one before they became final. She originally met Jay while on vacation in Jamaica. They quickly fell in love and Jay moved to America to live with her.
The two got off to a bad start with accusations of Jay cheated. January 2019, Ashley filed for divorce from Jay for the first time. She dismissed the case months later.
Things didn't work out and Ashley took out a protective order. She accused him of violating the order and he got arrested by ICE. The charges were dropped and Jay was released from custody. Ashely filed for divorce a second time only but dismissed it once again.
Earlier this year, they shocked fans by announcing they were back together during a TikTok video.
