The 25-year-old model, fresh from celebrating 15 million followers on her Instagram, uploaded a quick story on Wednesday with a reminder that her high-profile personality isn’t just a bikini body. Demi, who seeks deep meaning in life and experienced tragedy after mom Christine died in 2019 – eight months after dad Barrie passed – was showing that being a nice person costs nothing. Demi posted a story showing a black screen with white writing. “It costs $0.00 to be a nice person,” the Pretty Little Thing ambassador reminded her fans. Point likely taken for the troll who body-shamed Rose in lock-down by telling her she’d gained “weight.”
Demi is definitely living a jet-set lifestyle right now, having just spent weeks at the 5-star Cinnamon Velifushi resort during her sun-drenched Maldives vacation. The model who grew up caring for her sick mother hasn’t had it easy, though.
“You know what, I grew up from a young age caring for my mother who had been left disabled following a heart attack,” she told ES in September: “I was pretty much her carer for seven years so was forced to mature quickly and never had a normal childhood.”
Demi made headlines in July for appearing to have vanished from her London base. In fact, she’d ditched the U.K. for good with her move to Ibiza, Spain. The Fashion Nova partner told ES the move was the “best decision” she ever made, admitting that lock-down in London let her mental health “get the better” of her.
