Tory Lanez is putting aside his legal troubles to do some good this holiday season. The rapper stopped at Broward County, Florida, to spread the Christmas cheer and help some single mothers.
Tory Lanez Is The Ultimate Santa Claus
Per TMZ, the "Say It" rapper arrived at the area dressed in a Santa hat and gave out toys and clothing with the help of an elaborately set up distribution stand.
Lanez handed out Barbies, Legos, lightsabers, and bikes to excited kids and took out time to talk to some of the mothers.
The gifts given to the residents were worth $100,000, and a lot of work was put into making the charity event adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols.
Lanez himself was clad with a mask and gloves, and other volunteers donned PPEs to ensure everyone felt safe. The event was also a drive-thru to help limit the number of people in contact.
After the publication covered the event, Lanez took to Twitter to appreciate them and expand on its success. He wrote:
Was a super success, everybody was safe and taken care of!! And most of all KIDS left happy and excited about gifts and clothes etc… GOD BLESS

After failing to reach a plea deal in the felony assault case, Lanez began a preliminary hearing earlier this month as part of live testimony. During the preliminary hearing, more details about the shooting incident surfaced.
As we previously reported, LAPD detective Ryan Stogner revealed that Lanez uttered a shocking comment at the "WAP" rapper before pulling the trigger. The Canadian artist reportedly yelled, "Dance B—h, Dance" before aiming for Megan.
The 29-year-old allegedly fired several shots, one of which hit Megan and injured her feet.
The "Lady Of Namek" Rapper Denies Making Such Comment
Lanez stands by his truth despite the detective's claims, saying that he didn't shoot Megan. He also called out Stogner's comments saying the truth of what was said during the hearing wasn't reported by the media

In a social media rant, Lanez wrote, "NAH … i need someone to REPORT what was REALLY said in court today, 45 minutes of my lawyer stating contradictory evidence that proves my innocence should never come back as one false story forced to the media."
The case is still ongoing, with Lanez set to go on trial in January. However, if he is found guilty, he faces up to 22 years in prison.
