Brittany Cartwright fought back against backlash over the size of her growing baby bump in a post shared on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, November 1.
According to a report from Us Weekly magazine, the “Vanderpump Rules” cast member, who is expecting her first child with husband Jax Taylor in April of next year, Brittany posted a message describing what the 16th week of her pregnancy should entail while also slamming her haters for judging her weight.
Brittany Cartwright Doesn’t Want To Be Judged
“Some of y’all are just sad and I wish you happiness someday,” Brittany wrote in the caption of her message. “I am happy and healthy and I’m going to enjoy my pregnancy no matter what the trolls say.”
In recent weeks, many social media users have sent mean messages to Brittany about the size of her baby bump, which some have believed is unusually large. However, as most people well know, baby bumps come in all different sizes at different times.
Some 16 Week Baby Bumps Are Non-Existent While Others Are ‘Pronounced’
In the message Brittany shared with her post, it was noted that while some pregnant women aren’t showing at all during the 16th week of their pregnancies, others have baby bumps that are “pronounced.”
“All baby bumps at 16 weeks are different,” the message read. “Believe it or not, some women don’t really show at 16 weeks pregnant, while others have pronounced bumps.”
The message went on to reveal that a number of things can impact the size of each pregnant woman’s baby bump.
Brittany Cartwright Shouldn’t Compare Her Baby Bump To That Of Other Pregnant Women
“The wide variety of baby bumps can be attributed to everything from a woman’s size and shape to whether this is her first pregnancy or her second, third or fourth,” the message continued. “Whatever you do, don’t compare your 16 weeks pregnant belly to anyone else’s.”
Because Brittany has so many friends that are pregnant, including her “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars Scheana Shay and Lala Kent, as well as ex-cast mate Stassi Schroeder, she has likely found herself comparing her size at times. That said, there are certainly far more things to be focused on.
Jax Taylor Was Hoping For A Baby Boy
In September, shortly after Brittany’s pregnancy was confirmed, an insider told Us Weekly magazine that Brittany was shocked to be expecting a son.
“Brittany was shocked to find out they are having a boy,” a source told the outlet, noting that Jax “was praying for a boy.”
“He misses his [late] dad, [Ronald Cauchi], so much. He is beyond thrilled and feels lucky to be having a son,” the insider continued.
“Vanderpump Rules” has not yet been renewed for a ninth season by Bravo.
