Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin‘s gold medal-winning body is back on the ‘Gram. The five-time Olympic medalist, fresh from celebrating her 31st birthday ahead of Halloween, was back to the grind on Monday, and making sure her 1 million followers knew how she was starting the day. Nastia, both in the news this month for her giant anorexia clap-back and complaining that her free Starbucks gift card was too popular, was showcasing her tiny waist, morning caffeine fix, and unique way of pulling off scruffy style. Check it out below.
Scroll for the photo. If you don’t live inside Nastia’s Instagram, the Moscow-born star threw a giant birthday bash over the weekend, with her photos and videos covering everything from her giant tray of sprinkle birthday donuts, to her wolfing down a Shake Shack burger.
Super-swanky footage of a decked-out backyard in the blonde’s Dallas, TX home also came complete with a stunning white and braless birthday dress as Nastia rung in her 31st year. It’s Monday, though, and back to reality.
Nastia, who has this year revealed a love of Starbucks’ Cold Brew with two pumps Pumpkin Spice – she’s a fall girl – had snapped herself solo and home. The 2008 all-around Olympic champion, seen in white sweatpants rolled up, also sported a matching cropped hoodie flashing hints of her cheese-grater abs – blue socks and sneakers kept it all very gym as Nastia hid her face.
There’s always a Starbucks with this girl, though. Liukin’s followers were recently given a free gift card via the gymnast’s stories. Big surprise, it ran out after so many fans snapped it up.
Despite the global pandemic, Nastia admitted that her “year 30” wasn’t all that bad, then proving she’s a glass half full kind of person as she posed smiling and with that massive donuts tray.
“Thankful… and so beyond lucky to have such amazing people in my life ?? ready for ya thirty one,” she wrote.
The end of “year 30” wasn’t easy for Liukin, though. A fan DM asking her how she feels about “promoting borderline anorexia bodies” led to a giant clap-back.
Nastia made it crystal-clear that skinny-shaming isn’t cool in her books. Posing in a skintight dress and reposting the fan DM, the blonde admitted to being both “triggered” and “pissed” by the comment, then slamming the user, writing:
“If taking pictures of my OWN body—a body that won me many olympics medals, a body that I push each day to get stronger, a body that God gave me—is inherently promoting anorexia, then honestly, we’ve gotten to a place in the world where just BEING is offensive. This is ME.”
