Jessica Alba gives some makeup tips for New Year's Eve!

The 40-year-old actress dished on her beauty secrets for the holidays. On Thursday, she went on Instagram and uploaded five photos featuring her makeup look for the Baby2Baby Gala.

The "Fantastic Four" star rocked a black dress that boasted a subtle cut-out along her chest. Its sleeveless design helped accentuate her toned arms. Alba had her brunette locks styled in sleek, straight strands with a center part.

While her makeup is usually "pretty mellow," she likes to "spice ?️ it up" during New Year's Eve.

"For the @baby2baby gala, I went with a total 90s inspired look and it was such a vibe ⚡ So if you need some NYE #glaminspo - I got you! Check out my go-to tips n tricks below to either recreate this look or freak it your own way ????" Alba wrote in the caption.

When it comes to eyes, Alba loves a "dramatic look."

She added, "My #1 tip is always to make sure your face is prepped and ready to go - hydration is ?. One of my fave tricks is to apply eye patches and then start glam w your eye makeup so the patches catch anything that falls. Don’t be scared to go in with different eyeshadow shades, it will create a dope texture. TIP - use a pencil eyeliner (s/o @honest_beauty vibeliner) on your inner water line and under your eyes to bring a bit of dimension and give it a smokey feel. Don’t forget mascara!"

Alba continued, "FACE - moisturize and contour, baby!

To help wake up your eyes, start with the @honest_beauty Honestly Bright Eyes followed by CCC all over the face. Use a darker shade of the CCC to contour and then set it with the Luminizing Glow Powder in the shade dusk reflection. If you’re into a bit of highlight, go back in with the powder in the shade midnight to accentuate your features. Last step - apply blush to the apples of your cheeks for a natural flush."

As for the lips, she loves a "full and natural pout."

She added, "Just like your face, tip #1 here is to make sure you prep your lips. I like to use @honest_beauty Magic Beauty Balm and then go in with a lip liner, followed by gloss-c on the middle of my lips for a bit of sheen."

The actress ended her lengthy message by writing, "& viola! Happy (almost) NYE, fam ?? As I like the say, the best is yet to come… ?"
