Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin didn’t eat rabbit food on her birthday yesterday. The five-time Olympic medalist turned 31 on Friday, with her 1 million Instagram followers getting everything from that massive thigh gap and Nastia’s giant donuts tray to a cheat meal outing – yup, it was Shake Shack for the blonde. Nastia, fresh from a massive anorexia clap-back, was proving that she’s got the appetite and she even did it in a stylish cropped look that kinda rode up. Check it out below.
Scroll for the burger action. Nastia, asked by a fan this month how she feels about “promoting borderline anorexia looking bodies” was out to promote only thing yesterday – birthday food. The 2008 all-around Olympic champion kicked off from her Dallas, TX home and in stylish jeans as she showed off her massive platter of sprinkle and multicolor donuts, writing:
“Thankful… and so beyond lucky to have such amazing people in my life ?? ready for ya thirty one.”
Starbucks featured, too, but Nastia only had eyes for one thing. Her Shake Shack burger and fries.

The Moscow native, who moved to the U.S. as a child with her Olympic gymnast parents, was then seen inside a Shake Shack and enjoying a birthday take on the chain’s burgers – a candle had been placed in the bun. Crinkle-cut fries and a big dollop of ketchup, were also seen, with Nastia saying:
“When you say you’ve been wanting Shake Shack for a while,” adding; “I love my friends.” Footage on Liukin’s stories showed her chic white shirt being a crop top, with it getting raised as Nastia waved her arms around.
Nastia was only 22 when she retired from professional gymnastics back in 2012. The star admitted being completely lost when entering “regular” gyms, even confessing that she put on weight.
“I felt so lost for a good year. I gained probably 10 to 20 pounds, because when you stop doing something and just go cold turkey your body doesn’t even know what to do,” she told The Cut.
Now a Pilates lover and showing it on her IG, Nastia is running her The Muse Collective empowerment startup – she’s even got a $55 Celery Green Cream for sale. Scroll for the killer minidress selfie!
The end of Nastia’s 30th year was tricky with that anorexia storm, for which Nastia delivered a fire response as she admitted feeling both “triggered” and “pissed” by the comment. The star admitted she’s always been “thin,” but that skinny-shaming was unacceptable – “This is MY body,” she wrote.
With a better mood was Nastia stunning in tight jeans and a puffer jacket just ahead of turning 31 as she looked back on her year, saying: “Year thirty wasn’t so bad after all :).”
