'Selling Sunset': Tarek El Moussa Had Reservations About Filming

During an interview with Cheatsheet, Tarek El Moussa, the "Flip or Flop" actor, admitted that filming "Selling Sunset" was a lot different from what he was used to. However, he had no problem going with the flow.

"You know I just rolled with it," he told Showbiz Cheat Sheet of his experience with the drama-filled reality series. "It is what it is. That filming experience was slightly different from what I'm used to. But you know, I was just hanging out with some friends, and we were at a party. That's the way I looked at it. I had a great time."

He also mentioned that the show's fans might see more of him next season, given that he and Young were now married.

"You might see a little bit more," he said. "I'm not quite sure because I'm so busy filming my show. But now and then, I might make a little pop in."

Heather Rae Young admitted that her husband's series differed from hers. Thus, she could understand how he felt.

"On his show, it's more hosting; he's in charge he's teaching people how to flip houses," noted Heather. "On my show, it's kind of a free for all. It's reality, so the cameras are on, and we're just living our lives, and whatever you say could be out there."

The reality star, who wed Moussa two months ago, continued, "I think people get to see more into our real relationship and get to see a different side of Tarek that they don't get to see on HGTV."

She also added her husband's support. "We have our opinions about things, and I'm like, 'You don't need to be involved with this,' but he's going to support me 100% no matter what."

In the show's fourth season, Moussa got into the middle of a drama. He attended a party with his wife, who became annoyed that a co-star, Christine Quinine, arrived late and later ignored her.

"I left and decided to come back because I knew she was going to show up in about 10 minutes," she explained to ET. "But I was already an hour past when I was supposed to leave. And they're like, 'She's coming in 10 minutes,' and I said, 'OK. You know what? I want to talk to her before I leave on this vacation.' And she showed up, and she brushed me off.

She disregarded the fact that we were all waiting for her. I was waiting for her specifically," she continued. "She completely brushed me off, and she's like, 'I'm good. I'm good.' And I'm like, 'If you're good, I'm good, too.' She wanted to mend a friendship with me and the relationship. She showed me she didn't care. So I'm good. I was going on vacation with my future husband at the time, and so a lot had led up to that frustration. It wasn't like I just had a freak-out and left."

After she and her husband left the party, Christine later reached out to discuss one-on-one, but she turned it down.

"At that point, I already felt disrespected. I had been waiting for three hours for her. And then when she brushed me off, I was like, you know what? I don't need to wait around and be late and miss my flight on my trip with my husband. So at that point, I was just done. She had disrespected me already."

"The Big I Do," which premiered on December 16, 2021, featured the pair making final touches before their wedding ceremony.

The central plotline included a sudden change of the couple's original wedding venue at a resort in Mexico. This led to the couple scrambling to find a new venue four months to their big day.

Fans could also view Young's expression on sighting her dream wedding dress. And finally, fans had the opportunity to watch the duo tie the nuptial knot.

"It was just so magical. Better than we even expected it to be. We are exhausted but so happy at the same time," Young told People of the ceremony.

It is an American reality show which Adam Divello created. The series is majorly about Oppenheim Group, a premium real estate brokerage firm in Los Angeles, and a group of agents as they navigate their lives personally and professionally.

The first season debuted with eight episodes on March 21, 2019. It was later extended for a second season on May 22, 2020, and the third season on August 7, 2020.

Close to the end of the third season, Netflix renewed the show for the fourth and fifth seasons. The series has received nominations for many awards, including the Primetime Emmy Award for the Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program.
