Expert Says The Public Will NEVER Pick Camilla Parker Bowles Over Diana

Camilla Parker Bowles has had quite a rough time with the royal family and the public. This is entirely due to her relationship with Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana. Bowles has worked hard since her marriage to the prince to fix her dented image, but it seems this is an impossible task.

With the late Princess Diana's name and story once again trending on social media and in headlines, the public displeasure with Prince Charles and Bowles is on the rise again. This renewed interest is due to the release of Season 4 of The Crown, which details the affair between Prince Charles and Bowles.

The recent premiere of "Spencer," a film about one of the princesses of Wales' experiences with the royal family, has also contributed to the current popularity of the late princess. With the mounting public displeasure of the couple, the couple was recently forced to disable the comments on their Instagram accounts.

A royal commentator recently spoke of the situation and shared that there is no hope for Bowles to ever have a good image with the entire public because the memory of Princess Diana still lives, and she is still very loved. Here is all he had to say about the situation.

Bowles has put in a lot of effort over the years to turn around her image of being "the most hated woman in Britain," which has endured since the death of Princess Diana. However, with the release of seasons three and four of "The Crown," her efforts suffered a considerable blow.

The series covers the lives and experiences of the royal family, and the last two seasons focused on the late Princess Diana, highlighting the disregard and disrespect Bowles and the prince had for Diana with their poorly hidden affair.

The film "Spencer" also covered the affair between Bowles and the prince but focused more on its impact on the late princess' mental health. Viewers got to see how Prince Charles had little to no care for his wife, choosing instead to focus on his mistress and his kids.

They also got to see how Princess Diana was treated by the rest of the royal family and how she deteriorated until she began considering suicide. In the end, it showed that it wasn't until she decided to divorce the prince, leave the royal family, and focus on her sons that she began to get better.

"The Crown" showed such a bright and highly negative light on Bowles and Prince Charles that even those who were softening their heart towards the couple were reminded of their pain and anger from the events of over a decade ago.

Many began to talk on social media about Princess Diana, the affair between Bowles and the prince, the public disregard the two showed to the late princess, Princess Diana's tragic death, the rumors and theories of whether the accident that killed her was really an accident.

This led to a lot of backlash against Bowes and Prince Charles, and it actually got so bad that the couple was forced to disable the comment sections on their Instagram and other social media for some time.

With all the adverse public interest in the couple, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams recently spoke to The Express, and he pointed out some fantastic things Bowles has done over the years, such as her extensive charity work and efforts.

He said, "Issues such as reading, issues such as abuse, she's done very well in quite a quiet way- she's persisting, beginning with osteoporosis. There is no question that she's very valuable and makes a very valuable contribution. But also of course, as an ideal partnership with the prince."

However, he noted that despite all this, Bowles will always have a negative image to some members and sections of the public because the love and memory of Princess Diana will never completely die or fade away.

"Here's the problem- that anything to do with Diana, which is constantly in the news, does bring back past memories," he said, "The past decades, and this brings back Diana, will mean obviously that there will always be a section of society that are far from enamored by Camilla. That's the way of the world."

Many people do not want Bowles to hold the title of Queen consort when Prince Charles becomes King, as they feel that the title rightfully belongs to the late Princess Diana. Thankfully for them, Bowles also doesn't want to be given the title.

Biographer Penny Junor wrote about this situation in her book, titled "The Duchess," and wrote, "Friends and family know it is not something she wants — she has said as much. Camilla is in this position because of her love of the man, not because of her desire to be anything more than a support to him."

Junor further explained that Prince Charles' ascension is a day that Bowles dreads and chooses not to think about too much. A representative of the couple has also previously told the Daily Star that "The intention is for the duchess to be known as 'princess consort' when the prince accedes to the throne."
