Jessica Simpson literally gets to have her cake and eat it – Rice Krispie Treats and all. The 40-year-old singer, actress, and “Open Book” author’s Halloween-baked sweet treats were barely 24 hours old before she appeared in a new photo, with the 100 pounds lost in 2019 definitely not appearing to have been compromised. Jessica, who dropped her 100 pounds in just six months after welcoming third baby Birdie Mae in 2019, has been reminding fans that even with the calorie count, she’ll indulge for Halloween. Check it out below.
Scroll for the snack action. Jessica’s Wednesday Instagram stories offered a sneak peek at her Halloween baking – the stash complete with pretzel spiders and Milano cookie gravestones had already been showcased. Jessica, who has admitted she only eats eggs “in cakes” after her weight-loss diet saw her eating them every day, had posted with some themed Rice Krispie treats, showing green-dyed cereal treats nicely cut into squares. 8-year-old daughter Maxwell was mentioned:
“Max and I made Frankenstein Rice Krispie treats,” the “Dukes of Hazzard” star wrote as cute, mustached baked squares all sat in a row.
Jessica doesn’t just drop candy photos, though. The woman whose Jessica Simpson Style clothing label turned $1 billion in 2015 sales is pushing her stylish brand on the company’s Instagram, even making it a family deal – today’s photo brought in 1-year-old Birdie Mae as Jessica joked that her beautiful baby girl is her “assistant.”
Jessica, stylishly outfitted in a waist-flaunting floral-print dress and dark hat, offered a “behind the scenes” take of her home fall photoshoot, writing: “Our new assistant is cute, but she kept trying to walk off set!”
The above photo dates back to 2019, when Jessica admitted to tipping the scales at 240 pounds. More recently, though, the mom of three confessed the figure was closer to 300 pounds and in the “high two hundreds.”
“I was just uncomfortable,” she told Hollywood Life in August, adding: “But I worked hard and I am a determined person, so if I set my mind to it, I do it. I couldn’t handle being so big and my ankles were swollen. So I’m just happy to feel comfortable again.”
See what she allows herself now after the Halloween treats!
Jessica, who walked up to 10,000 steps per day to shift the weight and was even called “way too skinny” by fans as she slipped back into a 14-year-old pair of True Religion jeans this year, has revealed that moderation is her mindset.
“I personally don’t stay away from foods if I want something, I’ll have some of it, but I’m good at putting it down. I mean, listen, I have kids, so if I want, I eat like a kid. I like corn dogs and mac and cheese – you don’t limit yourself.”
