Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin has plenty to celebrate right now. Birthdays aren’t just one day in the celebrity world, with the 30-year-old 5-time Olympic medalist today taking a leaf out of Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods’ books. It’s birthday week. Nastia’s 1 million Instagram followers were greeted with stunning pre-birthday snaps on Monday, with the Moscow-born star celebrating her killer sense of style as she posed for outdoor photos in tight jeans. Nastia turns 31 on October 30. Check out the latest photos below.
Scroll for the photos. They come amid major headlines Nastia made last week for clapping back at an anorexia comment – being asked how she felt about “promoting borderline anorexia looking” bodies didn’t go down well with Nastia, with the 2008 all-around Olympic champion delivering a fire clap-back.
Today’s photos, taken amid abandoned concretes you might see on a highway bridge, showed Nastia enjoying the Dallas, TX sunshine and showing off a backside that was this month dubbed a “gold medal butt.”
Nastia’s snaps today opened with a massive celebratory pose. The gymnast had both arms stretched upwards as she delivered a beautiful smile, also showing off a tight pair of blue jeans, skintight ribbed tank in caramels, plus a matching and super-chunky puffer jacket worn open.
Things got way leggier as fans swiped right, with Liukin seen flaunting her Amazonian long legs and also peeking her chunky tan boots. The final shot was active as Nastia moved, with that famous rear getting its moment.
With November just around the corner, it’s coat season. Nastia, whose weekend included her showing off her favorite fall jackets, took to her caption to mention both her upcoming birthday and fall.
“Birthday week mood ?,” she opened, adding:
“On the blog today: the fall chill is in the air and you know that means coat season has officially arrived! although I’m not a huge fan of the cold, I love a good layering moment. link in bio to shop all my favs.”
Nastia did not ignore the fan DM revolving around “anorexia looking” bodies. In fact, she returned in a skintight dress and in selfie mode to fire back. Later showing her kitchen oreo stash – she did admit to gaining weight after retiring from professional gymnastics aged just 22, though, – Nastia wrote:
“If taking pictures of my OWN body—a body that won me many olympics medals, a body that I push each day to get stronger, a body that God gave me—is inherently promoting anorexia, then honestly, we’ve gotten to a place in the world where just BEING is offensive. This is ME. This is my body.”
