Chanel West Coast‘s cell phone might be something she wishes she could throw in the trash right now. The 32-year-old rapper and “Ridiculousness”star bravely handed out what she claimed to be her number on Monday, with the MTV face’s 3.5 million Instagram followers wasting no time in confirming they’d texted her. Chanel, fresh from dropping jaws in a sheer nude corset for her new “America’s Sweetheart” album, said “text me right now” to get feedback on the beats. Check out the replies below.
Scroll for the video. It comes less than 24 hours after Chanel posted a brand new promo pic for her fans. The album cover sees the “No Plans” rapper posing glamorously on a sunny lawn and going full bombshell in a waist-flaunting strapless corset, giant hat, and shades.
Monday’s video showed West Coast speaking into the camera and in a plunging, leopard-print top. The former “Fantasy Factory” face said:
“What’s up guys, I hope you’re all loving America’s Sweetheart album. I wanna know what your favorite song is on the album, so text me right now,” before giving out her number and saying: “Yes, it’s really my number.”
Chanel took to her caption, writing: “Hit me up! 818-600-6311,” also adding an alien emoji.
Chanel might have made February headlines for complaining she doesn’t get enough Instagram likes, but plenty suggested fans were warming to this video. “Chanel: Chanel’s inbox,” one fan replied with a giant string of eggplant emoji.
“And incoming a bunch of d-cks,” another said, with a third confirming they were part of the texting crew, writing: “Texting you ASAP.” Many wrote in to say they’d already texted. More after the video.
Chanel wouldn’t be the only celebrity to have handed out a cell number. “SHE IS COMING” singer Miley Cyrus has done just this, with fans seeing West Coast’s post today quickly probing her – basically, is it her real number, or just a dud managed by her team.
“No it’s not….. it’s a generated phone number from a 3rd party app. That’s not your real number,” one fan stated.
Another, meanwhile, seemed to think the “Anchors” rapper was getting desperate – “Oh common.. your better then this !!!” they wrote.
Chanel’s “America’s Sweetheart” album dropped just a few days ago. It includes her pandemic-penned “No Plans” track, the music video for which sees West Coast bikini-clad and filmed inside a $50 million mansion.
“America’s Sweetheart” follows 2019 hits including the dominatrix-inspired “Sharon Stoned” bringing Chanel in a leather corset, plus Western-style “Old Fashioned” and 50’s pin-up-style “Anchors.” Chanel is also fresh from celebrating 500 episodes of “Ridiculousness,” a show she’s starred on since 2011.
