Chanel West Coast just lit up Instagram, going stripey, sexy, and cheeky while shouting out the 40-yard dash. The 32-year-old rapper and “Ridiculousness” star’s weekend post proved she will never run out of ways to promote her beats – Chanel might have been shouting out the NFL as she twerked in her backyard, but the message was driving the MTV face’s fans to her just-dropped “America’s Sweetheart” album. Chanel, followed by 3.5 million on her Instagram, has been racking up mad likes. Check it out below.
Scroll for the video. Chanel, whose early pandemic days brought her now-viral “Corona Rap,” has just released her pandemic-penned “America’s Sweetheart” album, including her hit “No Plans” track. Her Saturday video, showing her outdoors and with a black football, came skimpy, color-coordinated, and definitely giving a nod to football.
The look is a fresh one for Chanel’s fans. It showed the former “Fantasy Factory” face dancing around and shaking her badonkadonk in tiny black shorts, plus a black-and-white-striped tee with a leather breast pocket.
Chanel, taking to her caption, wrote: “Watch me run it like the #40yarddash ?? New album out now LINK IN BIO!”
The album has been making waves, if only for the racy cover which shows West Coast glamorously posing on a lawn in a skintight, nude, and sheer corset. Chanel, recently revealing she’s been told by producers to quit rapping and sing “more,” is showing the haters that they can suck it. The album follows big 2019 hits including “Sharon Stoned” and “Anchors.” More after the video.
Chanel recently appeared on Angela Yee’s “Lip Service” podcast, where she admitted “I’ve had a lot of resistance as a rapper,” adding: “I’ve had a lot of producers and people tell me: Maybe you should sing more.”
“I think that a lot of people were confused, like, ‘why is this girl a rapper’, what’s your struggle, where do you come from,” she explained. “People don’t know that I’ve been rapping since I was a broke-ss,” Chanel added.
West Coast’s career took off when rapper Lil Wayne signed her back in 2012. Scroll for her thanks to the 38-year-old.
Chanel recently took to Instagram to thank rapper Lil Wayne for making it all happen for her. Signed to his Young Money Entertainment label nearly a decade ago, Chanel made sure she didn’t forget the “Lollipop” rapper’s birthday.
“Happy Bday @liltunechi! Thank you for believing in me when so many have doubted me! You are truly the GOAT and where that term even came from! (Facts) Hip-hop and music period owes so much to you????This pic is from one of the greatest nights of my life and I’ll never forget it!” she wrote.
