Gymnast Nastia Liukin Flaunts Gold Medal-Winning Legs In Skimpy Spandex

By Rebecca Cukier

Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin's shredded body needs to be seen to be believed. The 30-year-old 2008 all-around Olympic champion might be fresh from an anorexia comment clap-back, but she's nowhere near done flaunting the gymast body that's earned her five Olympic medals. Nastia's 1 million Instagram followers got their favorite Russian's killer pins as the weekend kicked off, with Liukin taking to her stories yesterday with a super-leggy, fall-centric photo showcasing cozy plaid, plus the star's love of skimpy spandex. Check it out below.

Scroll for the latest photo. It comes one week after Nastia made major headlines for clapping back at a fan – she received a DM asking how she feels about "promoting borderline anorexia looking bodies."

Nastia, who has clapped back – scroll for it – updated her stories on Friday with a little fashionista moment. The Moscow-born star, who moved to the U.S. as a child, was in her Dallas, TX home and showing off a super-cute beanie hat look complete with a little plaid action.

Nastia's snap showed her seated at the edge of a chair and flaunting her insanely-toned legs in a tiny, black, and spandex pair of shorts. The blonde had paired them with an oversized, chunky, and red-injected plaid jacket, plus a black beanie hat, then driving fans to a new blog post about the "5 coat trends I'm obsessed with this season."

Nastia, whose massive thigh gap can easily make a headline, is not, however, taking the feedback to her body flaunting lightly.

'Triggered' By Fan DM

Nastia chose to go public with the fan DM by posting a selfie of herself in a skintight, copper-colored, and scoop-neck dress.

"This week I got a DM that really triggered me in so many ways (swipe to see the screenshot) it made me feel: defeated, pissed, sad, annoyed, confused, shocked, and many other feelings," she began.

Nastia admitted that she's always been "thin" – "While I’ve always been thin, I’ve not always been strong," she wrote – but she refused to be skinny-shamed.

Anorexia Comment 'Offensive'

In 2016, Nastia told The Cut that her mother raised her to "have a cookie" if she wants one – indeed, the gymnast is fresh from showcasing her giant home oreo stash and pantry stacked with flour, Annie's organic mac and cheese, and cookies. Her response lashed out at fans, continuing:

"If taking pictures of my OWN body—a body that won me many olympics medals, a body that I push each day to get stronger, a body that God gave me—is inherently promoting anorexia, then honestly, we’ve gotten to a place in the world where just BEING is offensive. This is ME. "
