Ryan Seacrest couldn’t help but flash his pearly whites after leaving his Kelly Ripa to fend for herself on live television. The 45-year-old “American Idol” host was missing in action from their morning show, “LIVE With Kelly and Ryan,” for several days while awaiting his COVID-19 results but that doesn’t mean he put a pause on his social media.
Taking to his Instagram on Wednesday, October 21, the star posted a smiling shot of himself just one day before returning to his co-host chair.
When Ryan Seacrest failed to appear on the show earlier this week and left Kelly Ripa in the dust to run the show solo, the network was very vague as to the reason why he wasn’t on the show. “LIVE With Kelly and Ryan” viewers went wild with conspiracy theories that Seacrest may have contracted Coronavirus.
Ryan returned to his regularly scheduled program alongside Kelly Ripa on Wednesday after it was revealed he produced a negative COVID test after two-days off.
Hours after returning to their morning show, Ryan Seacrest was seen in good spirits on social media. His post on his Instagram Story wasn’t for nothing. He was sending a political message to his 5.1 million IG followers making sure they knew it was their civic duty to vote for this upcoming presidential election.
Holding his sealed ballot high in the air, Ryan Seacrest proudly pointed to the envelope and smiled big while proving that Kelly Ripa isn’t the only co-host on his brain.
Addressing his “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” morning radio hosts, he captioned the smiling voting shot by writing, “Your turn to spread the word @sisanie, @tanyarad, and @pattyrodriguez! Make sure your friends and fam have a plan to vote!” Looking healthy and happy, Ryan Seacrest sported a pair of tight jeans and a casual navy collared shirt with white vertical stripes.
Upon his “LIVE With Kelly and Ryan” return, Ryan Seacrest addressed his two-day absence this week with their loyal viewers.
“Thank you for covering, following the strict protocol,” he told Kelly Ripa. “Got the negative test results for COVID. Makes you feel very good.” Kelly Ripa then addressed Seacrest and made it clear that she “didn’t have any doubts” about her co-host’s condition. On Monday and Tuesday, Kelly Ripa covered hosting duties completely solo on “Live” and actually killed it.
After making his return to the show, Ryan Seacrest got a little sour when Kelly Ripa got a gift and he didn’t.
