Ryan Seacrest may be back in action after getting cleared for COVID-19, but he can’t help but feel a little hot after Kelly Ripa was gifted something pretty spectacular right in front of his face. The “LIVE With Kelly and Ryan” co-hosts were seen this week backstage at ABC Studios in New York City, after completing their daily morning show, when they were stopped by an old friend who came back down the hall to wish Kelly Ripa a happy belated birthday.
The action went down after Ryan Seacrest returned to “LIVE With Kelly and Ryan” following a couple of days off. As we reported, the show was very vague, at first, as to why the longtime “American Idol” host bailed and left Kelly Ripa alone to take care of all the hosting duties on the show.
After conspiracy theories ran the gamut, it was revealed that Seacrest had taken a COVID-19 test and was cleared to return after receiving a negative test result.
After a successful show, Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa were seen hanging out backstage and talking to their coffee guy, when an old friend appeared — the old coffee guy, who recently moved on to the “Tamron Hall Show.” He showed up to give Ripa a belated birthday gift, as the TV host turned 50 years old on October 2.
After being handed an ornate paper box, Kelly Ripa revealed she had been gifted a beautiful origami star that was intricately folded by the OG coffee guy.

Ripa told her friend that she would “treasure” the delicate gift forever, and was clearly taken aback by the thoughtfulness and effort put behind the origami present.
“That’s really thoughtful,” Seacrest was heard saying … as his body language revealed that he too wanted an origami surprise.
Seacrest reminded everyone that his birthday was coming up, and to his delight he was promised an origami star of his very own.
“Make mine ‘Christmasey,’ Seacrest suggested, as his birthday falls on December 24, also known as Christmas Eve.
Of course, Seacrest’s request didn’t come without a little teasing by Kelly Ripa.
Origami is the art of paper folding and originates from Japanese culture. Origami discourages using scissors, glue or markings of any kind on paper, and instead relies on trying to transform a single sheet into a sculpture. After seeing the gift Kelly Ripa was given, many fans took to comments on social media to express their joy.
“That was beautiful that origami piece that sweet man gave you !!!! How talented he is!” one fan wrote on Instagram.
“Always admired those with the origami talent, beautiful,” a second person commented.
