Kaley Cuoco couldn’t have better nailed her poster for new HBO Max series “The Flight Attendant.” The 34-year-old actress and “Big Bang Theory” alum finally got to confirm a release date of November 26 for her upcoming thriller series this week – Kaley was forced to pause filming due to the global pandemic, but with her two-month NYC shooting stint finished and post-production wrapping up, the sitcom star now 100% has “The Flight Attendant” hitting screens next month. She also dropped one killer promo shot for it. Check it out below.
Scroll for the poster. Kaley, whose Yes, Norman Productions company is behind “The Flight Attendant,” confirmed the news two days ago, telling her 6.1 million Instagram followers:
“✈️ START STREAMING THANKSGIVING DAY ✈️ @hbomax @flightattendantonmax #theflightattendant ? ? ? (Thank you to the amazing team behind the making of this poster!”
The poster, showing Kaley free-falling through air and against a red and pink backdrop, comes whimsical and edgy as the blonde is seen in a thigh-grazing minidress with a barefoot finish, also with kicked-off shoes and cocktail glasses flying around her.
Kaley has also been opening up on her role – she plays Cassandra Bowden, a woman who wakes up hungover in a Dubai hotel room, only to find a dead body lying next to her. “I’m a crazy drunk flight attendant, not a killer,” Kaley’s character says.
The series also co-stars “Game of Thrones” actor Michiel Huisman, plus “Dr. Who” actress Michele Gomez – the Scot made headlines this month as she was filmed in tense scenes while holding Kaley’s Cassandra character at gunpoint on NYC streets. More after the promo shot.
Fans, who last saw Kaley on her 2019-ended stint as Penny on NBC sitcom “Big Bang Theory,” are pumped like there’s no tomorrow.
“Viewing event of the year!!! ???? I literally cannot wait,” one fan wrote.
“The Flight Attendant,” which follows Kaley and 31-year-old sister Briana Cuoco co-starring in animated series “Harley Quinn,” will see Bri resume the on-screen sister presence. The two have been updating fans on the series’ progress via Kaley’s “A Cup of Cuoco” series as they first quarantined in upstate NY, then hit up Manhattan for the actual shooting.
Kaley spoke to UsWeekly ahead of the release date announcement, revealing that she’d bonded with “The Flight Attendant” plot as soon as she read the book the series is based on.
“When I read the book description, I got a chill down my arms. It felt like a good mix of drama and dark comedy. Plus, a complicated female character is a dream role,” she said, adding: “I love making people laugh, but it’s been an incredible experience working my dramatic muscles.”
