Nastia Liukin is quickly becoming a style icon!
The Olympic gold medalist flaunted her all-black outfit on Monday. She turned a random parking lot into an impromptu set for a photoshoot when she showed up early to an appointment. Nastia looked amazing in a pair of black satin short shorts, a tiny black halter top with a floral design, and a chic leather jacket that really brought the look together. While many fashionistas take forever to get ready, Liukin notes that she is always on time with a few minutes to spare.
The gymnast has a budding influencer career going and that means lots of meetings with sponsors, creative directors, and various fashion brands… good thing she is never late.
“early for a meeting… how on brand of me.,” she wrote alongside her fashionable photos.
Her millions of fans sounded off about her beautiful look and told her to forget the haters.
“So incredibly gorgeous,” one supportive follower commented while another said, “when perfection lands on earth.”
“Let your haters hate. You are gorgeous,” a third fan wrote.
Nastia pretty much has a brand new ‘fit every day but she claims to spend most of her time dressed down. Earlier this week, she revealed her no-makeup look and said that this is how she usually looks.
“sweatpants hair tied chillin with no makeup on ? (how i spend 90% of my life),” she captioned the dressed down pics (she still looked awesome).
Apparently, she also rocks those sweet pair of Jordans most of the time as well.
The Olympic champion is a target since she is so open with her life and photos but she reminded her followers that she still has feelings. She opened up about one specific comment that got to her a few days ago. Also, she is not afraid to publicly shame those her shame her. She posted the trolls profile pic but refrained from posting their IG handle.
The rude commentator said, “Do u feel like u r promoting borderline anorexia looking bodies?”
“This week I got a DM that really triggered me in so many ways it made me feel: defeated, pissed, sad, annoyed, confused, shocked, and many other feelings,” she wrote.
“If taking pictures of my OWN body—a body that won me many olympics medals, a body that I push each day to get stronger, a body that God gave me—is inherently promoting anorexia, then honestly, we’ve gotten to a place in the world where just BEING is offensive. This is ME. This is my body. While I’ve always been thin, I’ve not always been strong. I’m proud to say that I am truly stronger now than I’ve ever been. I’m sorry if my body is triggering to you. I don’t believe that I should have to cover it up for fear of being offensive. I promote real, I promote raw, and I promote truth. Every BODY should be loved. And why shouldn’t my body fall into that, too? I’m sorry for whatever you’re going through that made you think writing this note to me was in any way OK. I hope you heal from your traumas just as I have healed from mine (and continue to). All of my love ❤️.”
Liukin is a world-class athlete and recognizes the importance of eating your vegetables. That’s why she is looking like a healthy snack! She playfully encouraged her followers to take a bite of her veggie style as she wore a gorgeous mini-dress by Aritiza.
“thursday thoughts: work hard, be nice to people, and don’t forget to eat your greens ???,” she joked in the caption of her post.
