Britney Spears' Father Requests His Attorney Fees From Her

A week ago, Jamie petitioned for Britney to resume the payment of his legal fees, although a Los Angeles County judge declared the conservatorship over, per PEOPLE.

Court documents showed that the "Toxic" singer's estate was asked for these fees to aid the fiduciary duties regarding winding up the conservatorship of the person and estate.

The court papers stated that prompt payment of Jamie's attorneys' fees would ensure the conservatorship can wind up efficiently so Britney can take control of her life as both parties desire.

The petition buttressed that the fiduciary obligations owed by Jamie remain after the conservatorship termination order. Therefore, must be paid "regardless of the unsupported ad hominem vitriol lodged at him."

Matthew Rosengart Calls Jamie Spears' Payment Request 'An Abomination'

Britney's attorney Matthew Rosengart called out Jamie over her estate's legal fee payment request and considers it abominable.

On December 20, Rosengart expressed to PEOPLE that Jamie's petition is shameful, and he already reaped millions of dollars as a conservator.

The attorney added that Jamie paid his lawyers millions more "all from Britney's work and hard-earned money." He pointed out that the conservatorship is terminated, so Jamie's request is legally meritless.

Rosengart called the petition an abomination. He recounted that his client testified about the pain her father caused her. He stated that Jamie's actions are "not what a father who loves his daughter does."
