Jana Kramer Clears The Air About Her 'Non-Exclusive' Romance

Jana Kramer is opening up about her relationship with supposed BF Jay Cutler. Cutler and Kramer made headlines after the latter's controversial split from Mike Caussin.

After much speculation about what went down between the pair, PageSix was happy to report that the country music star had opened up about the widespread affair. 

During her "Whine Down" podcast on Thursday, December 16, the 38-year-old singer revealed why it took so long for her to discuss this period of her romantic life.

The truth is usually a bitter pill to swallow, and Kramer didn't sugarcoat the details about her short-lived relationship with the former Chicago Bears quarterback.

Calling their affair a relationship may be an overstatement as the "One Tree Hill" actress confessed that the couple were not traditionally boyfriend and girlfriend. In her words:

"Just because I went on a date with someone doesn't mean we're exclusive and he's my boyfriend."

The "Whiskey" singer further emphasized that Cutler was never her boyfriend or a serious partner the way gossip blogs and news tabloids painted him to be.

According to the country musician, the pair were the source of rumors because of the former NFL star's public image.

So why didn't she clear the air? The 38-year-old admitted that the scars from her previous marriage to Mike Caussin made it difficult for the TV personality to talk about her dating life.

At the time, the "The Holiday Fix Up" star wasn't sure where she stood with Cutler on romantic terms. Also, the distasteful rumors surrounding the former athlete weren't helping the couple's case.

The father-of-three allegedly began spending time with Kramer to make his ex-wife and mother of his children Kristin Cavallari jealous amid her new relationship with the country singer Chase Rice.

The Blast previously shared that Cutler didn't have the best September as the 38-year-old made headlines for jumping back into the dating scene following his ex-wife's latest relationship. 

The former spouses officially went their separate ways in April 2020 after seven years of marriage, and this year, they became involved in a love triangle.

The father-of-three once admitted that finding someone new was hard as he no longer knew the dating world. However, if the rumors are believed, the athlete found Kramer easily.

Sources claimed that the country star was Cavallari's friend, who also helped the "Voices" singer through her difficult divorce from her ex-husband Caussin.

However, other insiders have pointed out that the women were nothing more than acquaintances. Regardless of their friendship, the situation was shady, as it occurred during the "Very Cavallari'' star's romance with Rice.

On the topic of difficult ex-husbands, The Blast revealed that the "Love At First Bark" actress suffered through a heartbreaking marriage with her ex-husband. 

After Kramer and Caussin first said their vows in 2015, their relationship went downhill because of the former athlete's inability to control his lower half.

Despite joining a rehab facility for his sex addiction, the former football tight end broke his wife's heart with various cheating scandals until the TV personality ended their terrible relationship in April 2021.
